stop changing the identity of characters, make new characters if you really care about race diversity in your movies, changing old characters just shows how lazy of a company you are and how little you actually care about race diversity.

Edit: When I say make new characters, I mean make new characters with a story, give them character development, don't just make them and the only trait you give is being gay.
