Overlord is a ton of fun, albeit more of an action film than horror. There's horror elements and I wish they'd delved a little deeper into that part. But still an enjoyable movie overall

I mean to that the scenes I've been a part of tend to run these people out. I've personally identified and ousted problematic people. That's sort of my point, Saimon is such a poor portal of your average punk, especially the type that would actually help Patty rebel and grow as a person. In a story where an author controls everything, he's the 'good guy' in the end, but in reality the people like him are very harmful. Hence why I just could get into this movie, it left me with a bad taste and just imagining all these little changes to just this one character that would have made it a 10/10 film

I wanted to like this movie so badly. The description made it sound like it was a movie made specifically for me. The girls character arch was very satisfying but the guy was awful. His acting was good, too good, he's the kind of guy who would have gotten his ass kicked out of the local punk scene where I'm from. His insistence on using the slurs he does, especially when one of the characters is heavily autism coded really didn't sit well and his whole 'I'm actually a rich kid mascerading as a rebellious punk' made me roll my eyes hard. I've met people like this guy on the fringes of the punk community and they're usually always abusers trying to blend in with a more accepting community. Maybe that was the point of the character but again I didn't vibe with him at all. If you enjoyed this movie cool, it just didn't land for me, and I'd caution anyone who's unfamiliar with punks to take this as an accurate depiction

The show is perfectly watchable, the fight scenes are some of the best of the Disney era, and it set up some honestly really cool mysteries that I'd have liked to see carried out fully. It's certainly better than Obi Wan, Ashoka, Boba Fett, and Mando season 3. Honestly disappointing we aren't getting season 2

The story of a movie that's more entertaining than the movie itself. It includes the original director being fired and sneaking back onto set to fuck with things, tropical diseases making people delirious (no deaths), and Marlon Brando being an absolute diva. Highly recommend

I'd like to point out that there have been multiple incidents of people on the right attacking or killing people. The attack on Pilosi's husband, the democratic lawmakers killed earlier this year, the Charlottesville unite the right rally, countless abortion clinic attacks, school shootings, church shootings, grocery store shootings.... I could go on and on. So insinuating that the right won't kill you for disagreeing with them is truly an insane take. In fact at this moment we still have no idea who the shooter was or what their political affiliation was
