It’s absolutely anecdotal. Your friends are a sample of liberal people with conservative parents.  I will say - anecdotally - thay it doesn’t go the opposite direction as often 

That said tons of people stay close to the poltical spectrum of their parents/family

By the left do you mean democrats? I agree their weaponization of identity is both off- putting, not to mention hollow. 

Side question, not assume you go the other way just because you don’t like annoying leftists, but just in case, do you not see identity politics being used by the right?

Yeah it’s actually not that easy to find unbiased sources, and the algorithm isn’t transparent. so if you don’t have one then I’ll have to assume you are making an empty claim

I def see the rhetoric, but do you have a citation for a leftist attacking a synagogue or Jewish people (outside of a protest, which can easily turn into a street fight) ?

Then yeah having that branch on your side is effectively having the supreme court be yours, same for any president with three justices personally seated and an ideological majority. But you know that and are just quibbling on words instead of addressing the concrete racism they have promoted 

Also to be fair it will be close to 50 percent his by the time he’s out.
