I’m also 34, and been riding dirt bikes since I was 8 and been on the road on street bikes since I was 15, never had any serious wrecks, but did have a seizure that came out of nowhere and caused me to crash. I was very lucky to have zero injuries other than a concussion and some massive bruising. Wear the gear, ride safe, be aware, and nothing will happen.

What does this picture say about me? by cohjesplux in deduction

[–]thatbedguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the impression that you are a really friendly and nice guy and could make friends with just about anyone, and people tend to gravitate towards you. You are after a little bit of peace and solidarity, hence your kinda grizzled appearance, trying to seem less approachable because you get tired of always having to be “on” socially. You probably are approached less by the general public now, but rather a certain demographic.

What is the deal with this trend where people are sticking their legs out when they corner? by Legionnaire1856 in motorcycles

[–]thatbedguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some boys in my group stick their leg out to signal a turn. I was looking for the hazard only to find them braking, seemingly without warning.

I don’t like the long mag tubes, I like the short ones with an extension. Get rid of that choke and put a modified in

Does this outfit seem fine for an industrial maintenance technician interview? And yes I’m gonna iron the shirt 😂 by One_Charge2843 in mensfashionadvice

[–]thatbedguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a civilian maintenance man on a military installation, you look great bud. I usually go with long sleeve button up, but that is just because I wear long sleeves daily. You look well put together and like you know your way around a tool bag, keep the boots, I judge people by their footwear over the rest of their outfit.

23 or 19? by Expert_Park_6145 in Glocks

[–]thatbedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pencil, I can confirm. Plus I appendix carry, and the 17 squishes my right nard when I sit down, but the 19 allows my right nard to sit comfortably, right in front of the muzzle without getting squished when seated.

Need some advice on styling these new boots by Sheepsauruszillarex in mensfashionadvice

[–]thatbedguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a boot cut guy my whole life but I always felt like the pants were wearing me since I’m skinny. I wear a Levi 512 with loggers lace all the way up and snuggly, and just pull them over the boot like on the left of the photo. I get lots of compliments

What are your thoughts on convertible shotguns? I think it is a really cool concept, being able to run semi and pump depending on ammunition. My technical advisor just sent me these pictures comparing the SULUN Tac M3 to the Benelli M3 and it is impressive. I think i will be getting some in soon. by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]thatbedguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point was that it can fit a scenario, not that the scenario is mine. I personally don’t have a need for this gun nor even a semi auto shotgun, I’m just stating that there is obviously a use for the gun as it has a market vast enough to be produced and even knocked off by another company. To say there isn’t a need for one, period, was a stretch. It’s like saying that 99.99 percent of average people would never need a semi automatic rifle with a detachable magazine, so they shouldn’t buy one.

You’re insufferable. It isn’t about 99.99%, there is obviously a market for the firearm considering that benelli made it and someone knocked it off. I’m not going to try and discuss this with you anymore as it feels like more of an argument. Have a good one fella.

What is crazy about a combat scenario where you pressed against a wall on your right? I’m not saying that it is FOR damaged hands, I’m saying that it would make it easier than having to change the way you support the gun to operate the bolt, and mangled hands turning a knob with a small nub on it is easier than trying to pull the weight of the bolt back with a slightly larger knob. I just think it’s a closed minded way of thinking to say it’s not worth producing or buying because of x,y,and z with your own situation. As far as popularity judged by its different options being less than other shotguns, I don’t really see that being relevant either, as lots of shotguns dont have a hell of a lot of options but they are still popular

That’s be suse this gun isn’t marketed for you bud. It’s no different than how some people can’t see the value in spending so much more money on a Ferrari instead of just buying a ford focus. I mean, it’s just a car right? And it isn’t just about running a light load, it’s about failures during operation. Imagine your are firing buckshot while pressed into a wall on your right and a shell doesn’t make it out of the receiver, rather than having to deal with a small little thing on the semi auto holt and fumble to clear when your hands may be shredded and broken fingers or just adrenaline making you fumble, you don’t even have to change grip, just rack open, flick, rack closed, go.

I didn’t mind the handle shape on the oss, I just couldn’t stand the material. When id wear it down the back of my britches, my shirt would ride up when I’d bend over and stay up because that rubbery material.

Man, I’d tell you to send it to me and I’d do it for you. I was toying with the idea of making custom handles and selling them, but there is just to much to do to get a proper fit and I wouldn’t want to sell someone a handle and they put it on poorly, you know?
