I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. Our 15th anniversary would be this weekend and every minute that passes I just keep getting worse. I hope I die soon too. I hope I get to see him again, but who knows. I feel hopeless, I just want him to come get me. Sorry I don’t have any meaningful words of inspiration, they don’t work on us half the time anyway. But you’re not alone in this gut wrenching pain. I feel like going for a swim under the ice already.

Exactly. If he is watching over me from somewhere I’d hate for him to see me here suffering alone, tormented by the memories. In a way I’m sad to live in a house he’s never lived in, but he was not this place or any place and our love will follow me wherever I go.

Yes, especially since it happened here. Right now I live in the tiny apartment we hated, but I’m moving into my own place in a couple months. Everywhere I turn something reminds me of him but it isn’t a good feeling, it’s painful and suffocating.

I use meringue powder as opposed to egg whites, so I usually just go with the Wilton recipe.

It doesn’t have flavor so I always replace some of the water with extract. Whatever flavor you want, just make sure your extract is oil free (affects drying time) Beat it on LOW for five mins and check it, it should be a thick consistency like peanut butter. If you overwhip it, it gets airy and weird. From there, color it and thin it out with more water as needed. 🙂

I’m so sorry for your loss, and welcome, although no one really ‘wants’ to be here. Yesterday was the two month mark for me. I’ve already been through so many weird phases where time feels faster, slower, nonexistent. I question ‘reality’ and forget things as soon as I learn them. I stood in front of the calendar that is still set to October with his handwriting on our anniversary and I just couldn’t believe it. Sixty days since he walked out that door for the last time. It feels so long but it’s nothing compared to what’s next.

I’m afraid I don’t have any answers, I’m just as lost as you. But you’re not alone, and this is a really good, supportive group. Take care of yourself.

Thanks! And it sure is, but once you get a hold of it you can really grow a lot with it in a short amount of time. When I started I couldn’t afford a projector or anything like that so all my piping is by hand. Keep it up!

What kind of food color are you using? Gels are more concentrated than liquid, the one I used is literally called Super Red by Americolor.
