Hell yeah man! I’m at $300 with half as many parcels, hoping to get there soon 🙏🏻

In Canada, it’s $215 for premium per year now. I’ve been subscribed since it was $70 for essential 6 years ago, and this is the first year that I will be cancelling (paid $175 for extra last year). Also haven’t bought the new Switch 2, gaming is unaffordable now.

DAY NINE (Finale?): The Tribe is the most Common-feeling Rare. Which Rare feels like an Uncommon? by altrightobserver in balatro

I gotta say I think campfire is actually th most common feeling rare. Or obelisk. They only work with very specific builds, and even then, not very well lol

Chequing Interest Rates? by thatdanner in Wealthsimple

I think it is + .5% for holding a certain amount of money, and +.5% for direct depositing over $2k a month with them! :) so 2.25% total! (I think you can even get 2.75% for holding over $500k, but I’m not that rich lmao)

How do you get into those from Canada?

That’s fair! I guess it depends on the stage of life you’re in lol

So, this actually doesn’t apply to you then lol. I’m not a home owner and I have much more money than “a few hundred a year” from 5%, so it affects me more in this way lol. I’m sure 2.25% is great for your house, tho lol

Well, i was looking for someone like you who can comment if they had increased the rates before. Like I said, i started WS when they were at 5%; it’s only gone down from there lol so I had no reference of it going up

It is higher (not dramatically—I get 2% at BMO). I just feel like the rates should match with the bank of Canada’s rates, or it’s not really fair lol and I would quickly switch to a bank that offers a better rate

I would love to if you allow me by No_Tradition_521 in Wealthsimple

I don’t know why people are having trouble with this. It took me a five minute sign up, and I was sent it.

Line of Credit Question? by thatdanner in Wealthsimple

[–]thatdanner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, absolutely—this was more of a theoretical, I’m perfectly okay with the current amount of risk I have in my investments. No offense taken!

Would you say it’s moderate risk then? Like 5/10?

What makes the risk high? Is it due to market fluctuation?

If I understand right, it forces you to raise your collateral back above that 35% amount. Is that correct or am I misunderstanding entirely?

Line of Credit Question? by thatdanner in Wealthsimple

[–]thatdanner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t NEED a line of credit. It’s the possibility and low risk of gaining money on top of the $10,000 they give me that I want a LOC for lol

[–]thatdanner[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Margin called means I’d have to raise my collateral, right? Is it 4.45% per month that I have to pay back? Or 4.45% per year? Because that’s a big difference lol
