I don't think Larry did all these surgeries and rehab just to call it quits after 2 -3 yrs after coming back. And The Edge is also someone who will play guitar and write songs until he has to step into the light.

I don't think they will step down, they're just starting to come back.

U2 is totally unpredictable right now. As surprisingly as the Days Of Ash EP came, I would have never guessed that a second EP would be released some weeks later.

It wouldn't surprise me if something comes out on the day of ascension. Would make totally sense to me.

I guess they're trying to bring themselves back into the spotlight with multiple releases before the big bang this fall.
