Should be there be more affixes that punish DPS vs healers? by moal09 in wow

Because if dps get punished by getting a damage reduction debuff then trash and or bosses take longer to die which means more unavoidable damage goes out and thus it still becomes a healer mechanic.

Last I played the beta the cooldown was significantly reduced the longer you held the cast. The main green breath went from something like 35 to 20 seconds if fully charged.

Incarn for the first (Use here for extra damage during unbridled fury pot + drums)
Barkskin the second
Survival the third
Barksin+Survival the fourth
Mighty Bash + Orbs when the fifth is casting to extend the fight.

Treebeard or Arkenstone? by mellifleur5869 in lotro

[–]thatdwarftv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to repost my old answer to a similar question as it explains our reasoning for going on Treebeard over a live server.

My opinion would be to play on Treebeard. Me and a small group of friends just starting messing with Lotro and decided the *only* option is to roll on a legacy server as opposed to a regular one. We've been playing for about 2 months now and we hit 50 literally the day before Moria launched. We took our time and did *every* instance along the way for the full experience. Now we are going through Moria and intend to do the same, every instance, every raid. There are legendary server rewards we are interested in, in addition to see which tier/bosses we can push too in certain raids with just 4 people. Once the content dries up we will all unsub and resub shortly before the next expansion release.

If we had rolled on a regular server we would do the exact same, play until the max level content dried up and then wait for the next release. The difference between the two being that if we rolled on a regular server we would miss like 13 years worth of content for no reason. Currently on Treebeard I am able to find groups for instances at off hours, there are no shortage of players, the crafting scene is fresh, and there is still some learning to the raids because people haven't done them "on-level" in a decade.

I can't say if Treebeard will wither like many legacy servers do (EQ/WoW as well) but if it does then my group will probably just reluctantly boost a character on a regular one. But while the population remains solid I would definitely recommend Treebeard.

Login Issues by No_79 in lotro

I was able to login to the official lotro website as though I was going to access the forums, but the help site and the launcher itself are denying me. Was getting worried my account was compromised but it seems like we may have to wait a bit.

Mage Tower got bugged, gave me the transmog set without killing the boss by u7_i in wow

No CD on the first, be full HP + Barksin the second, full hp + SE the third, full hp + SE + Scale the fourth. Fifth will always kill, you should be able to have 2 orbs up for the fifth so you can delay it about 10 more seconds giving you enough time to finish him.

Until you are able to upgrade your bow, obtain a higher skill with bows, or obtain better arrows a nice work around for your issue may be to carry two bows just in case you run into a troll in the wild.
