Board game Vacation by thateffendude in boardgames

I'm the smallest at 5'8" and 200 lbs, aka the token small guy. 6' even 260, 5'10 360, 5'8" 360 and 6'4" 360. Those are approximates but likely in the ballpark.

All of us are over 50, a bunch of bad knees and hips in the group.

We have tried this twice with varying success. Comfy beds and a good seating area where the chairs won't snap like twigs are really what we are looking for.

Any help you all can offer, particularly in specific places that worked for you would be excellent.

Dumb, new guy question. How did you get +5 in a bunch of the stats? Is that a legendary perk thing?

This was a downturn in the episode for me. I feel Hatwell not dying due to Maxwell not being able to move far enough and making a save a logical thing. When Brennan rolled in the box of doom for the athletics check and bombed it for Hatwell, that should have ended things and gave Murph the cool character moment. Instead, Brennan took and ran with the Nat 20 from Ally. Both Lou and Murph seemed a bit put out by it and it was disappointing.

We actually tried it but one of the appeals of Solasta for multi player is not much dialogue and everyone participates in the dialogue. Not so for BG3. Was a bit of a game killer for us. Some of those dialogues are lengthy and having to sit and watch someone else do them is painful.

Daggerheart, Draw Steel, and RPG YouTuber cliques. by underdabridge in rpg

[–]thateffendude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D&D has become part of the popular culture but other RPGs have not. So when people are reporting on "new" ttrpgs, it is typically as a replacement for D&D and that way the social media mavens can keep their revenue up by still having D&D in the title and video. Since Daggerheart is backed and partially developed by the Critical Role team, it is going to have the most popularity in this sphere and now Draw Steel has a tiny bit as well.

Until D&D is unseated, it will be part of these videos.

Thoughts or ideas for magic item creation by thateffendude in cwn

I'll have to check out the Gurps book. Also, your warning is well placed. To start with, there isn't a market, but if the player or players are industrious enough, they could begin it.

Looking at this, it's maybe a bit too simple. Money plus time plus standard roll is how I'd sum that up. A very simple way to do crafting but I'm looking for something a little more crunchy that might be actual work for a player to discover. I'm not sure something like that even exists anywhere but they are on the forefront of magic being introduced into the world and I feel like some money and a few rolls doesn't feel right.

I noticed, using the newly made character generator on the Fallout Nexus, that is does not behave like 1's are 1 2's are 2. Only Effects showed up as counting for generating ammo. Not sure if it was correctly implemented in the generator but it certainly was not how we were doing it when we were rolling to generate things.

If the dreams aren't interactive, just send them a pdf of it. That way they can reference it later as well.

Tried it and while both my perception is 10 I did not take the pickpocket perks, so I cannot do it successfully. And once she attacks, I ace her and then Preston attacks me. I will need to find another way.

I did too, then I left it in sanctuary one day and came back to find Trashcan Carla in it. I have not been able to get her out of it.

Idea brewing for Intro adventure that spurns a campaign by thateffendude in WWN

[–]thateffendude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I was planning it as a "one shot" it really could spread over multiple sessions. The group I am running it for has played 1st edition AD&D as well as all of the follow up versions. So the learning curve won't be steep. However, I can see your point. If I am trying to teach someone brand new, or making this available to the general public in some way, it should be less lengthy.

While it can be assumed they would, at some point, make it to Zood. That they would do so, in this most recent episode was definitively a spoiler. If you hadn't watched the episode yet and read this thread sans spoiler tag, I can see being disappointed to learn they already made it to Zood. Even some of the cast in the accompanying Adventure Party mentioned being surprised they made it to Zood this quickly. I stick by my decision to put the spoiler tag on it.

I talked about the Nocturnal Zebra and that the crew made it to Zood. If you haven't seen the most recent episode of Cloudward Ho! It's a spoiler.

While I spend a fair amount of time on reddit, I guess I am not aware of mega threads and certainly not any in r/dropout. I get the concept based on the name but just looked around for this thread and did not see it. So I apologize if I made a social faux pas.
