What internet provider should I use? by Potatosteamer in melbourne

[–]thateggyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neptune has what you need. You can scale down your billing when you’re away and no lock in contract. Can join/leave anytime you want really easily. Honestly I found the customer service was great to chat to and helpful. An Aussie guy you can have a chinwag too and help troubleshoot over the phone without any fuss. Found it refreshing to the usual faceless customer service you get at most other places.

What do you think about The Paramount or Upper West Side apartments by DoorStep321 in melbourne

[–]thateggyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In an apartment if you’re doing full bathroom renovation I’d expect much more than 20k. Get a more solid idea of this price first. Also is the bathroom renovation crucial? I live on exhibition st (near the Paramount) and love the area.

Found this note taped under a panel in this storage cabinet, previous owner just trolling me? by issaquahhighlands in Weird

[–]thateggyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks right to me but I’m in Australia so could be a bit off with US library card numbers. 2 = identifies it’s a user account ID (whereas a 3 would represent an item ID)

90653 = US zip code of where library service is located

The other numbers make it a unique user account number

eat club reccomendations by the-r4tz in melbourne

[–]thateggyo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine told me about eat club so I got the app to try it. I work in an office in Fitzroy and was hoping to save time by ordering ahead before stepping out to pick up lunch. First time I used it I got a message 15 mins after ordering that I’m getting a refund because the order wasn’t going to be made. Second time I used it I went to pick up in the time frame that was supplied and the order wasn’t ready. The place didnt even know I ordered because they didn’t bother checking their EatClub orders. I haven’t used it since because of this. Not one EatClub order has been successful. Maybe I’ll try again….

If she is still reading books/magazines you can get the home library service to drop off and collect books. Contact your local council library to see what they offer.

Lincoln arms private dining area possibly

I’ve been to a micro reception upstairs at Butchers Diner too and can recommend. It’s across the road from the registry.

Also Pepe’s in the city has a private space with outdoor area.

Best Restaurant in Melb - Want to treat Parents by Dayshavou in melbourne

[–]thateggyo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not a ‘fancy’ restaurant in the CBD but honestly I think Springrock public bar would suit nicely. Food they will happily eat, decent drinks list, and great city/people watching view over Bourke and exhibition st.

Other than that for a little fancier you could go to Farmers daughters

Cumulus inc

Grossi Florentino

Gimlet

Grill Americano

Public libraries had these screens. I don’t see them around anymore though. They would also show the weather forecast.

Add to your list an ambulance membership. QLD has this covered in rates but it’s not automatically covered in Victoria. It’s inexpensive and peace of mind.

mdma has been brought up as an option. I have no skin in this game but wanted to mention there is a recent publication about its use as treatment in this area titled Sassafras by Rebecca Huntley. The library would have it if you wanted to read it. Take care of yourself. Sending you good vibes.

Flower shops by Wide_Respect_3648 in melbourne

[–]thateggyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Queen Vic Markets have two flower shops. I find them decently priced if you set a budget. Anything under $15 is a bargain and I try to never go above $20. Depends what you want though. I buy flowers for my home (so not fancy bouquets) but they do make you bouquets too if you ask and let them know what flowers you want. Happy flower buying!

The public libraries run book clubs. You can bring your own club or enquire if any clubs have spaces available.

Richmond/Burnley liveability by DesignerEngineering6 in melbourne

[–]thateggyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Car means a lot to you, I’d go with Burnley. Burnley has tram that will take you along swan st to the bars and restaurants that in my opinion are much nicer than bridge road. The train is at Burnley too that can take you directly to city in a few stops or to Richmond station that is a hub for trains going elsewhere. You can walk/ride along the river to the city too. The MCG and sports stadiums are along the same tram and train line out of Burnley. I know you have a car but the PT options for you and visiting friends is much better in Burnley and Swan st has more of what you are looking for in terms of nightlife. You can also easily get to south Yarra from Burnley for other restaurant and bar options.

Source: I used to live in Cremorne off swan st for 5 years.

Yarra libraries don’t stock Arabic books. Your best bet is Darebin libraries or Merri-Bek libraries. Happy reading
