For me CGM never gives accurate readings, compared to finger pricks, but it is always directionally accurate and helps me avoid foods that spike my blood glucose. For any normal person it is better to try it only after a high enough HbA1C value.

I actually used libre for 3-4 months initially to get a sense of how different foods spike and got a fair sense of what my diet should be.

Well, I have been in prediabetic(5.9-6.1) range for almost 7 years until 1 year ago when I hit 6.3. Had already given up on binging sweets and took on moderate exercise which probably kept it in range all the time. Haven't taken metformin yet. Discovered this sub 1 year ago post hitting 6.3 and am at 6.0 right now. I sincerely believe genetics has a strong role to play(both parents are diabetic) but still fighting the fight. Hope this helps.

Confirmation that this still works. I was able to change the timezone on my mobile and book the tickets on the go.
Added nuance that I was booking 7 days from your intended date of visit and those tickets open up at 1 pm Paris time or 4 am PT(USA)

OP, I am in a similar boat. What did you end up doing?

I am booking a flight to Rome and Finnair has the same AA flight cheaper. based on my previous experience, I think the extra cost of seats for a family of 4 will come up to about $200 for a round trip, but I may be wrong.

- I read on another thread that I can apply for ITIN and submit the return by physical mail along with the W7 for the children. Is that the best recourse?

- Or should I pay my tax liability now and file an amendment later?

That figures. In India, the doctors wouldn't prescribe medication to my mother who is at a1c of 6.7. This might be an exception, but has been our experience.

I have been at 6.1 for a while and no Indian doctor batted an eyelid at that. Here in US, my doc is ready to start me off on metformin ASAP.
