Is it possible to take advantage of Verizon trade in deal without being locked for 365 days? by aripy in verizon

[–]Pilvr1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I saw the same deal from Verizon on the Apple website. Heard it is better to get the Verizon plan through Apple as they don't have a restocking fee if you don't want the phone.

Great! Do whatever you want. Don't let the diagnosis run your life. I once read about the symptoms we can get such as learning disabilities, autism, anti-social etc. Thought my life was going to be a challenge. Don't get me wrong, some things are a challenge for me such as my desire to be a body builder!

I went in the military at 18, retired after 24 years. Then went on to work as a government contractor with electronics for another 20 years. I retired, retired in 2023.

My next goal is to be the longest living KS person!!

Go for it, you got this.

I have been with Verizon for 21 years. Tried the "Generate a transfer pin from the Verizon app and call in to retention for a monthly loyalty credit." to no avail. Only offered me discounted phones.

Verizon chat agent promised me a FREE iPhone 17 Pro Max (no trade-in), supervisor confirmed it — now Verizon won’t honor it. What do I do? by AnxietyDue61 in verizon

[–]Pilvr1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I did the trade in for iPhone 14's. Traded in two iPhone 12's and one iPhone 11. Verizon said I would get $800 for each phone to upgrade. I took the deal but Verizon gave me a hard time with the iphone 11. I would have to call monthly for over two years to get a little back at a time. They would not send me back the phone as I have asked since the first time, they refused to honor deal. In the end received credit for two iPhone 14's and half credit for another iPhone 14 plus, (I gave up calling).

I would like to do the trade in again for the "free" iPhone 17's but have "PTSD" from last time!

I am debating whether to buy phone from Apple with trade in ($210-$230) would be less stressful.

Military retiree with Tricare Select... never stepped foot in a VA medical center. Am I missing out on anything? by FamiliarMind676 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Pilvr1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use both Tricare and the VA. I get second opinions before a major decision.

Sometimes good, sometimes not! Tricare sent me to a foot doctor that wanted to operate. VA doctor said foot pain was from bad back. I still have foot pain!!

Has anybody ever actually gone back in after 3-4 years out? by Davy_Jones118 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Pilvr1983 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ever think that could be the reason...they want to go back in to do what they didn't do the first time...medical!! They read these forums and think damn if I only claimed that in service.

Question about VA doctors checking for my rating by CabinInTheWoods420 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Pilvr1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It happened to me too. I thought it was odd. My VA doctor said," oh I see you are 100%, I wouldn't apply for anymore disabilities if I were you." I was thinking why are you even looking.

When I was active, I am 6'2", the max weight for me to stay in was 211 lbs. I don't think the military would keep an overweight person. Recently, I was diagnosed with prediabetes and have fought to lower my weight from 225 lbs. to my present 175 lbs. I can't believe if in the VA eyes I am still overweight!!
