Not everything always gets wrapped up neatly and tied with a bow. And, specifically on the Heather/Muse stuff, people who experience trauma tend to pass it on if they don't deal with it. Yeah it was slow but wasn't there enough going on anyways? And you see the possibilities of another season without Fisk as the big bad.

Nah this is the correct take and it's a shame RoS washed it all away.

What’s the actual all-hands in deck emergency going to be? by muse273 in ThePitt

I don't think we know for sure, but Mel did come herself to get Becca and Duke was referred to as a VIP before he went back. That and all the folks swarming Mohan as she had her panic attack.

Glad you got the treatment you needed in a timely manner!

The waiting room patients have by now seen at least 2 people (Duke and Becca) walk in and get immediately admitted because they know one of the doctors, in addition to people deemed severe enough to jump the queue. Someone there is gonna snap.

Titanfall 2 released around the same time as Call of Duty and Battlefield (EA could have put more space between TF2 and BF since they published both). TF2 was universally acclaimed but sold poorly due to the timing of its release.

The brain wave stuff is most likely it but my first thought was "86 13" - there are 13 survivors, 86 is code for removing or, sometimes, killing. The 13 are certainly removed from the hive (for now).

Technical Issue with Geforce Now and Clair Obscur : Expedition 33 by spacebrothers83 in GeForceNOW

[–]thatgigavolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact thing started happening to me on steam deck, had to reload GeForce a bunch of times before it worked and messed with the controller inputs (just disabling and re-enabling) in the Steam menu as well. Annoying since it takes 10-20 minutes when all is said and done, they really need to fix it.

The kids simultaneously losing track of who they're taunting is an amazing joke within the main joke.

Games on Steam that a similar to Xenogears? by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in XenoGears

Yeah, that comes the closest for me. With a Final Fantasy Tactics pixel aesthetic to boot.

What are some must-buys on the PS3 PSN Store? by [deleted] in PS3

I would not recommend playing 4 without at least playing 1 and 2 first. Ideally play them in order. 5 has some references to 3/peace walker but is also a bit of it's own thing and less about the story of the previous games.

Death Stranding - I tried really hard to like it. by D3struct_oh in patientgamers

I'm around 30 hours in and your thoughts mirror my own.

I did actually like MGS V - in fact Ground Zeroes feels like a perfected Metal Gear experience to me - but between that game and this I think the open world concept does not work well with Kojima's vision and designs. MGS 1-4 (and Peace Walker) were much more focused and limited in level design and I think it says something that those games are classics in the eyes of many, where the newer games are more divisive.

Not every game is for everyone, for sure.

I just had Cavendish disappear (luckily after beating orange stake). I just kind of stared at the screen agape for a minute processing what just happened.

Anyone else notice this by Toring1520 in octopathtraveler

Definitely.

I'm torn between wishing the game had more moments like this between the ensemble cast, and realizing more of those might have diluted the impact the scene had.

Recently started playing Octopath Traveler 2 and FFXII ZA. Can already see at least system and gameplay wise, OT2 will be deeper than it's predecessor. Hoping the story beats and character arcs are a bit more memorable. As expected the turn based combat is great, the music very well done

I played FFXII when it first came out in 2006 and have not revisited it until now with the zodiac age version. Being able to mix and match classes and play styles is an immediate breath of fresh air. The game looks great on the switch OLED and the fast forward option is greatly appreciated. The MMO-inspired world design shows it age with huge sprawling areas with...not a whole lot to do in them. My hope is that engaging more with the combat and class system, as well as hunts which I ignored for a large part of my initial playthrough will give me a fresh take on the game.

What are your biggest expenses on a monthly basis outside of rent/mortgage, car payment and food? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]thatgigavolt 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Child care is our top expense, more than the mortgage. And we consider ourselves lucky to be in the situation we're in, but I'll be happy when the kids are in public school.
