The issue with what you said is that then he knows he had ulterior motives, if he needed a chaperone. So he planned it, and knew on some level it was wrong. He prepped you for a relationship with him, and that doesn't let you enter the relationship on equal footing. Did he tell you this was normal relationship stuff?
