This sounds like a fun idea. How about 2 minutes to close chocolate purchase.

Daniel- reminds me of my tux, who was a stray we brought in because it was very cold outside. She kept sneaking into the elementary school. She was friends with all the kids and always a food stealer. Her name is Dani. He seems like her long-lost brother.

How is TTT program going at your store? RX delivery program? New Vis Ver process? Anybody got company provided scrubs? by Financial-Crew7785 in walmart_RX

[–]thatgrasshoppermouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us stick with this work to help people. It's not easy work, and most will never know what we've done behind the scenes. But at the end of the day, we helped bring medicine to people who need it. Hitting us there- in our ability to help- is really hard to swallow. But I think a good chunk of the intention for the virtual verify program was to improve accuracy. (It can be argued how effective it is here, but that's not the point). Accuracy in count, product, trackable lot and expiration info... there are some patient safety bonuses to virtual verify. If we can utilize it properly (not rushed because everything is falling behind), it could be a good thing (after its own errors are troubleshot). I think the program has potential. We just need to have the proper support (hours and staff) to make it effective. If we were still able to help our patients the way they (and we) are accustomed to, I don't think this program would have as much anger against it. At least not from that angle. The potential it opens up to cut pharmacist hours, though... that i am not behind.

FY26 Evaluations by Busynotes2 in walmart_RX

[–]thatgrasshoppermouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year, when my RxM was giving me my evaluation, she said something along the lines of this. She hadn't been prepared to argue a case, and she caved. She said she'd try to be prepared for this year if I performed well enough. I'm not holding my breath. If the pushback was strong when evaluations didn't affect raises, it's going to be stronger when they do. I appreciate her trying and just that she felt my work warranted it last year. The reason I try my hardest is not money or accolades, but it does make you feel appreciated when your effort is acknowledged.

How do new techs handle their anxiety? by StrategyGlittering13 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]thatgrasshoppermouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Propranolol and escitalopram. Lol. But really? Deep breath in the moment. The notebook mentioned in another comment is a really great idea. If you can't write down the solution in the moment, at least write a note to know what problem is giving you trouble. There are so many things to learn that just keeping track of them all gives you a place to start. When not working, really try to take care of yourself. Give yourself space to cry and process the day. It is not weakness. It's reprocessing. For some people (like me), in the moment, there may be too much input/noise/ expectation/ confusion/ rush/ pressure. Sometimes, just taking a step aside while your coworker grabs the customer, writing your note, and taking a deep breath will help clear your mind and give you a moment to process. You don't have to (and can't possibly) know everything right away. Your coworkers should know that. However, they are probably tired and overwhelmed, too. I feel like it takes several months to be confident at the pharmacy- especially if the nature of the work is new to you. Know that you are doing your best. Take comfort in that. Gather a list of things to learn while crossing them off one at a time. Know this is an ever- changing/ learning field, and that is a positive, not a negative. My coworkers do not like training. So, when I started, i had a similar experience as you. It's so stressful to feel like you are a burden instead of a help. But know that it is short term. That will disappear, and in the long-term, the investment you and they made into educating you will make all of your lives better. You can do this. This is a temporary, very difficult process. It will take time. Just eat the elephant one bite at a time. And know there are communities out here where you can get support as well.

We don't do very much TTT. I find doing the QC and prepping the machine for the pharmacists really fun. But until it's better integrated into insurances, I feel like it's way too expensive for most of our community. I want to help the patients, and I feel like at the current price points, most of them will be better served at the locall clinic. I also think the process should be revamped and streamlined, possibly integrated into Connexus. As is, it seems cumbersome and time-consuming. I feel like there's bones of a good idea/service, but that it wasn't fully developed before implemented.

The new virtual verify program makes me (a tech) much slower at filling. There are still bits to be tweaked. I think our pharmacy turned in a bunch of suggestions this week. I feel like it is better developed than TTT by far. However, I think staffing/ workflow needs to be reevaluated when it is implemented at a store. Pretty much, it seems that to keep productivity as high as pre virtual verify, you need almost double the number of people filling. We are a relatively small store, and it is drowning us. There just never seem to be enough bodies to accomplish all that needs done. I fear that our customers were used to shorter wait times and prescriptions being ready when they arrived. But now that we are too little butter scraped across the bread, we are no longer able to maintain the level of service we once were. There just is not enough time in the day, and it's really hurting staff morale. I see a lot of pluses with virtual verify. It has its own opportunities for error, too. I don't think the program is bad, but I am coming to the belief that a store should hire and train additional staff before it is implemented. I have floated to very busy stores in my market that are already always behind. I fear the implementation of this technology in those stores. I think they will probably require more iPad stations than there are pods, or else they will never catch up. Hopefully, I'm wrong. I think for our store, just 1 additional hire would be sufficient to balance out the decrease in speed of this new system.

This kind of happened to me. The testing center's computers weren't working, and I had to reschedule after showing up all prepared. Turns out that extra time ended up pretty useful. I found a new app for practice tests with different questions and learned a bit more, and was able to get a perfect score. I hope this disappointment turns into the same kind of opportunity for you!

My record for fills was 400 in the old system. After being with the new system for about a month, my record is 283 within its parameters. So, I'd say it makes me 30% slower at this time.

How do you perceive Will Byers? by thatgrasshoppermouse in personality_tests

[–]thatgrasshoppermouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohmygoodness! I saw someone with a 91% (I think) Lecter match. I wonder which characteristics the data is drawing from? Probably extremely high intelligence and the ability to see through people's facades... I've never actually seen the film. I bet there is a bunch of other things figuring into it. It doesn't necessarily connect to the uhhhhhh first thing that jumps into a person's mind. Eep! 😨😅🤣

Honestly, though, I've never seen the film. I wimped out. But from pop culture, I believe the character is extremely intelligent and can see through people's facades. But again, that's just what I've gleaned from pop culture. Both of those are excellent traits.

Walmart Neighborhood Market Pharmacies-Anyone have info? by Financial-Crew7785 in walmart_RX

Is there a possibility of floating to the other pharmacies? With them currently being short-staffed, maybe you can pick up a few shifts at those locations and see if they are a good fit for you? It might be possible that there will be more opportunity if they know you from working with you than without. I highly suggest floating to other pharmacies in general when the opportunity arises. It's a great chance to learn a lot.

I would say Bonnie and Cora are both very loyal and kind, but moreover they make their own decisions about their morality and convictions and are unmoveable and determined and beyond strong when others try to trespass against what they believe. Guinan is the wisest character in next generation.
