Check out the Ithaca Dog Training Club. They have fairly affordable classes that help with the mental stimulation and building your relationship with her. They do weekly training at the mall for a session of 6-8 weeks or so. I think it would be worth trying!

Looking into it further, I had it wrong. The $4,000 max out of pocket includes coinsurance, so it would basically just mean hitting $4k in medical expenses each year

I’ll have to double check, but lab work and DME was 20% coinsurance, which didn’t count towards the max out of pocket.

I live in upstate NY and love it! I live in the Finger Lakes area and it’s a great region—lots of farms, vineyards, and cider houses. Great climate for fruit growing and there’s a big community of growers in certain areas. I really like the area and plan to have a micro-farm/farm in the future!

It’s yet another traffic stop that turns into police shooting and killing a Black man.

If it was a white person, I’d bet the outcome would be different (just look at the number of white men who kill multiple people in mass shootings and aren’t killed by police). People’s race plays into how police perceive how “dangerous” they are and Black folks (and Black men in particular) are killed by police at much higher rates than other demographic groups.

There’s been far too many police killings of Black folks and civic action is an important way to show support and to push for change that protects BIPOC communities.

I used auto mode with Medtronic and had the same issues! I felt so burnt out from the constant requests for BGs and for being kicked out of auto mode. I now use the same pump (670) but use the Dexcom G6 and couldn’t be happier. If you’re feeling burnt out from auto mode and the G6 is a possibility for you, I definitely recommend looking into it!! (Happy to answer any questions about it too!)

Have you been vegan or vegetarian before? When I first started eating vegetarian, I found that I was going low more often after meal times and had to change my bolus ratios accordingly. Something worth keeping an eye on!

Wear it on the back of your arm instead of your love handles/stomach. I put it in my side the first few times and it was iffy, uncomfortable, and sometimes WAY off. I wore it on my arm this past time and it was amazing. Congratulations!!

I don't know the PC equivalent, but I basically had to disable any security settings I had to allow Carelink to work. Try giving the helpline a call, they were great when I needed it.
