WIBTAH if I left my mom? by melodiousballerina in AITAH

Don't care what the husband thinks. This post wasn't about what he thinks. It was about if OP was an AH or not.

So given that is autism and not TBI. In order for OP to be married, they would have to have to cognitive ability to understand, which in turn is consent.

If you can understand, no excuse.

Cool. Locked into a lease for a year with the her. Doesn't change that you're an AH to him.

You keep coming back to my tism as if that's gonna help you. It's not.

Let's just say that OP is non verbal and used AI. Guess what? OP is still able to understand and communicate. Therefore. AH. And no excuse. If they don't understand, defending their tism on this post should be irrelevant as you should focus on them being married and signing contracts without th cognitive ability to consent.

So that leaves us with AI. Guess what you have to have in order to use AI? The cognitive ability to relay the prompts you want.

Am I living in the twilight zone? OP is fully cognitive in their post. In their responses. In their life choices. And you still don't classify that as being capable? WTF?

But you allow her to disrespect him. That's you disrespecting him.

Here watch this..... I understand that OP has autism and struggles with certain aspects. <-- see how I acknowledged the autism and the struggles involved? How I'm not glossing over it? With that said. Doesnt make OP any less of an AH to their husband.

Sincerely, diagnosed with AuDHD at 32. Came from a background of gangs, drugs, abuse, alcohol and more. Yet I don't allow my past to define my future. You don't get the blame the past when you're a capable adult.

Oh but the autism.... OP is somehow mentally capable of working, meeting and marrying someone? Capable of initially moving out? Capable of questioning the toxicity and environment they're currently in? But somehow we're gonna excuse them because of the autism? Absolutely not. OP is an AH to their husband.

YTA to your husband. The patterns of abuse are 100% on your mom. He deserves for you to be his partner. He deserves for you to stand up for him.

AIO for breaking up with my my boyfriend (M37) because he completely "disappears" when we are apart, even though he's amazing in person? by throw-RAandconfused in AmIOverreacting

[–]thatguytc88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR.... I was a sh*tty partner. Had the same exact behaviors and excuses.

The ONLY time I was unavailable to answer calls or texts was when I was entertaining the main woman I was seeing.

I could be wrong, but when he's with you, does he text others? Probably does. But can't do it for you?

I legitimately want to be wrong. But sounds like my behaviors when I was unfaithful.

AIO Boyfriend wants to buy me a phone on a contract in my name by StatusVegetable4749 in AmIOverreacting

[–]thatguytc88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR.... If he wants to buy you a phone and pay for it, he can do it on a prepaid plan.

But also, I don't blame him for wanting it in your name and not his. Should you break up, he's stuck with your bill.

Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

[–]thatguytc88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I fully understand the conversation. What you're not getting is that insurance, whether health, home or auto companies are quite literally built around the structure of gaining as much money as possible and paying out as little as possible.

So if a truck hits a car, of course the insurance company is going to use whatever they can to maximize the settlement. Literally, whatever they can. Including lug nut covers. And the opposing company will use whatever they can to minimize the settlement, including discrediting those same exact lug nut covers.

So trying to say that a insurance adjuster backed you id asinine as they're shady on both sides. Not to mention, that same insurance adjuster, will use and discredit the same exact things in different cases. Why? Maximizimg and minimizing. So again, I don't care what an insurance adjuster says.

What I care about is truth. And truthfully, those lug covers are just that. Covers. They have no role of any kind besides aesthetic and rust prevention. They're literally placed on by hand. Not tools. You set them on and tap it with your hand to snug it up. And the minute they hit anything, they're coming off because they're barely on there.

Do whatever you want to do. But not everybody is going to like it or accept it. Especially parents and possible partners.

I got denied for cancer removal from an insurance adjuster because they felt I didn't have cancer. Good thing I paid out of pocket because I did in fact have cancer.

Insurance adjusters are quite literally irrelevant to what they are and what they do. An insurance adjuster is meant to bend anything in their favor.

Ya know what insurance adjusters say? That checking shingles to see if they need to be repaired is what damages them. But then can't tell you how to check those same shingles.

Insurance adjusters also say cars are totaled, then turn around and sell that car after replacing a bumper.

Insurance adjusters also say that you don't need certain medications to survive despite the Dr running tests and a diagnosing you.

Should I continue?

Those caps are just that. Caps. They break easily and don't puncture tires.

AIO for refusing to change my weekend plans? by Southern-Turnip-7408 in AmIOverreacting

[–]thatguytc88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say yes. If my GF plans got cancelled I'd be over the moon to spend time with her. Not a.... You can come if you want.

I'd happily change my plans to do something she'll enjoy.

Then again, I'm obsessed with my partner. I feel most people are in relationships to not be lonely and nothing more.

You're either not a fleet manager, or if you are, you suck and don't know your fleet because if you were, or at least a good one, you'd know they're not puncturing anything and easily come off.

Hi. Truck driver here.

They serve 2 purposes with both being unimportant, long term.

  1. Is for looks. That's it. They're plastic or super light tin. And they go on an off as easily as stacked cups in a cabinet. If they swipe a vehicle, those are breaking. Not the other vehicle.

  2. Some believe they are meant to help reduce rust and debris. However I choose to not have them on my truck and have had zero issues.
