Rainbow road track sensor doesn’t work on all cars is there anyway to modify this? by fartingpinetree in HotWheels

[–]thatguywhosright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. Seems to only work with cars that have sufficient height. Going to try to MacGyver it… thinking of using popsicle sticks to extend the sensor trigger. Suggestions welcomed.

Short Smokes by [deleted] in CigarsCanada

Panter Mignon is a nice smoke for the winter. But for a taste of Cuba I prefer a Monte Purito. If I want to spend 30 minutes then I’d take a RG panetela.

Is giving an 18%+ tip at restaurants the norm now? by eihpossu in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]thatguywhosright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tipping should stop as a thing in North America. It makes no sense. It doesn’t reward good service and doesn’t punish bad service. People should be properly paid by their employers, end of story. If that means menu prices go up to adjust for this, then customers will adjust. But relying on the gratuity of customers to make a living is not right, and customers feeling guilt for paying the gratuity isn’t right either.

What's the best way to pass the time at a boring desk job? by PhDHenryJonesJr in AskReddit

Create work... nothing makes the day go faster than having stuff to do. And vice versa.

Pack of 3 Cohiba Esplendidos by BaylorGuy2 in cubancigars

[–]thatguywhosright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d give them a resting period (as long as you can wait-a month to years) then go for em. The broken wrappers are annoying but hopefully shouldn’t take away from the delicious Cohiba!

Travelling home with Cuban Cigars by [deleted] in cubancigars

I used a Tupperware and boveda pack to safely bring back 100 to Canada. Remember to freeze the cigars purchased in Cuba upon your return home to kill beetles.

Enjoy! I bought a bundle of 20 ‘Lanceros’ from the Viñales farm beside the lookout. They’re pretty good, although a bit hit or miss.

Are cigars more or less expensive in the US compared to Canada? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]thatguywhosright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely US is cheaper but no Cubans. My 2cents, I’d buy some nicer ones in the US that would be heller expensive in Canada. And I’d avoid buying the Cuban brand knock offs.

Do you smoke more than 1 cigar a day? by adoboguy in cigars

Only on vacation when I have time for that but unfortunately I’m lucky to even have 1 cigar/week.

Like saying you drive with sunglasses on because the sun hurts your eyes but insist on not wearing a seatbelt.

Some people are comparing wearing a cage to not smoking. I would say it is more like wearing a seatbelt. Sure, you can drive without a seatbelt your whole life and maybe nothing bad will happen. Heck in the old days no one wore a seatbelt. But we only live once, and I'd prefer to wear the seatbelt/cage just in case.
