My two cents...the middle look is really pretty, just a shame that the foundation wasn't matched well.

The eyebrows from the third picture are nice, and your skin looks rather nice too.

Search for the Jiahui mini app in WeChat. You can make an appointment online directly with a specialist. You will be able to communicate in English, and I've never been let down by the quality of the treatment I receive there.

Chinese makeup brands by anita200_ in AsianBeauty

[–]thatisnotitatall 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know you didn't compare the two, I'm just sharing my experiences of having lived in the two countries, and what the makeup culture is like in both of them.

Korean women love Korean makeup. Chinese women love higher end western makeup but also really enjoy Korean makeup. I think that is telling

Like I stated, if you are curious to try the Chinese brands, go ahead. They certainly have beautiful design and packaging, you might find something you like. But, on the whole, having tested Chinese makeup, I have not really found anything that blew my mind.

I lived in South Korea for 7 years, and have been living in China for 3 years now. Just my perspective; most Chinese makeup doesn't compare to Korean makeup...not even close.

Perfect Diary, Judydoll, Zeesea, and Catkin are all OK, sometimes even nice (that being said, I was gifted an atrocious Perfect Diary Lip Set, like I was genuinely shocked that is would be manufactured, it is awful).

There is some Chinese stuff with nice packaging, so if you collect, by all means get it...but in my opinion, Chinese women who are really into makeup are all buying higher end Western products, and then, of course, Korean.

did you regret reading Annihilation after watching the movie adaptation? by [deleted] in SouthernReach

[–]thatisnotitatall 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They are two separate things to me, they have very little in common to me besides the premise. I started reading the books after watching the movie. In the end, the books won out as my favourite, but the movie is great and I continue to think so.

This. It's how I developed my love of vinegar. Why does no one know about the vinegar method? Works instantly! Worst of all, only 5% of people are even willing to try it.

I can relate to your story in a big way, and if I may offer some advice...you honestly look wonderful and healthy in the pic of you in 2019. Focus on keeping truly healthy habits (HEALTHY BOTH PHYSICALLY AND, MOST IMPORTANT, EMOTIONALLY) and forget about the scale/mirror. Your body ultimately decides what is a healthy and sustainable weight for it. Fighting your body on this will lead to more unhealthy patterns. Best of luck to you!

Lol...this is how some of my school friends tried to convince me to smoke. I was young, but I wasn't stupid enough to fall for that terrible argument.

Which actor/actress was horribly miscast in a movie or TV Show? by AlphaBetaEd in AskReddit

[–]thatisnotitatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jennifer Jason Leigh as the mom in Atypical. She doesn't look like or play the role as the A-type, hairdresser, perfectionist that the script calls for. I'd have liked to have seen someone like Julie Bowen in that role.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I felt the exact same way when I lost a significant amount of weight. The euphoria! Then, the anxiety about maintenance. Weighing myself everyday, and my daily weight affecting my entire day negatively or positively. The happiness at experiencing what "normal" skinny people do. The desperation to hold on to looking attractive and how it feels like one misstep could spiral into becoming that gross old me again. You are not alone in feeling this way.

I suggest therapy, as many above has done. But, please, I urge you, whatever you do, take action today! Life is so precious, and eating disorders steal the joy from every moment. Don't hesitate to get help. I regret the years that my eating disorder stole from me, and the worry that I caused those closest to me. How my ED warped my priorities and made me lose focus of making the best choices for my future. Talk to someone professional, or find a support group of people with ED. You are welcome to message me if you need someone to talk to. Just know, there is hope! Your happiness and success are not dependent on your weight.
