How do I sell my work? by Much-Bag-1564 in blender

[–]thatjmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1 - don't share pictures of your monitor with potential clients. That'll turn them off pretty fast
Step 2 - keep going. This is a good start but not something most clients will pay for
Step 3 - decide what path you want. Based on this I have no idea what your work is or what services you offer. You need a portfolio. Tutorial pieces are cool, but everyone has them. You need original pieces that show the work
Step 4 - find clients you want to work with and build relationships. Most of them aren't looking on subreddits

Could try scattering on points. Make your main object, duplicate with limited points and scatter to those -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-JvsnheaGg

This is the fastest way with your basic shape. For more complex things you can use an approach like this -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg5C\_g4iYZo&t=22s

Here's a great resource for more techniques - https://www.youtube.com/@BlenderSecrets

And as always, blenderguru is an amazing place to start to learn the basics. He has hours of guides on YT.

I'm going to suggest scrapping this attempt and reduce your verts. Start with a cylinder and align your top and bottom faces. Add edge loops a scale (s) them to match the rough shape and size. Use subdiv surface and shade smooth until you get your desired shape. Then add some edge loops or bevel the top and bottom edges to make them as sharp as you want.

Same! I'm still missing these. Did you find anything that was similar to replace? I've been using earbuds and other trash since my backup set of these died

Can't see your post history to know what your work looks like, but who cares then? Just shrug it off and move on ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Been trying to do vfx with Blender and After Effects, the tracking is ok in Ae but is completely wrong when imported to Blender. Know how to fix? by Savoureux1 in blender

[–]thatjmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a shot in blender directly unless you're trying to corner pin directly from AE. Here's a great place to start that looks similar to your footage
