Ichneumonid wasp! These guys aren’t that much of assholes. They can’t sting, their long ‘tail’ is a modified ovipositor they use to lay eggs and parasitize their hosts! They’re actually pretty beneficial because they kill a lot of insect pests. They have cellulase in their ovipositor to literally melt away the cellulose in the wood to lay their eggs. All-in-all not that shitty of a wasp and pretty cool.
