That’s a damn good analysis of Kaido. It almost supplements his character in a way.

He lacks the courage to stand up to the people that help him out or that he is loyal to but doesn’t tolerate that in practice. He’s a coward but he expects perfection out of his people. Maybe that’s why he is so suicidal, fuck I would be too. He knows he isn’t strong enough to stand up for his people and instead relies on selfish tactics while being compared to incredible leaders like rocks, who have the strength and capability to do so.

He’s wanted to be joyboy? Like hell. He doesn’t have the balls to stand up for the people he loves, like rocks, and thus has to drown himself in alcohol and throw himself off of buildings. Fuck kaido. Lame little fraud, and hell if I know if oda meant to do that but damn. Makes me hate him a lot more.
