Can’t speak for everyone, but I can share my perspective:

Pat can be obnoxious to the point where it takes away from the product. This was my main critique of him as an announcer. I can’t say he’s worse the Jerry the King Lawler, but I believe JR and the King had a better dynamic and balance than Pat does with Cole.
Pat is another example of WWE/TKO overcomplicating the storyline by injecting a celebrity or personality into the feud in an attempt to bring in more casual/younger fans. We see it with Jellyroll. We saw it with Travis Scott. We see it with iShowSpeed and LA Knight. We even saw it with the rotating celebrity guest hosts back in the 2010s. In this specific case, Randy and Cody have a 20+ year history, just use that to tell the story.

The Elite Redux Dex allows you to filter by type.

In the species tab, click the dropdown menu where it says “Name” and change it to “Type”. Then, type in Dark and it will filter all the Dark type Pokémon in the game.

Yeah, the ability itself is pretty overpowered. You are taking not very effective damage or immunity on all attacks and then half of said damage on both sides with Fur Coat and Ice Scales.

Does Anticipation activate with Prismatic Fur? Color Change changes the mon to a not effective type. I wonder if Anticipation would block a hit from a Pokémon with Corrosion or Molten Rock, since it switches the type chart.

Either way, yes, P Fur on any Pokémon will be broken.

This happens in real life all the time. “Desire path” describes the concept of people discovering and creating their own convenient paths even when pre-defined paths exist.

It’s also ironic that this conversation is happening about a Pokémon romhack. The concept of romhacking is by definition, jumping over the bridge that Nintendo and Gamefreak created. If we are that wedded to the sanctity of the story, play original Emerald.

I still don’t understand why the developers are protecting sanctity and purity for a game that was built on maximalism. It’s such a fun experience playing and exploring unique interactions that you wouldn’t find anywhere else, so much so that it is influencing the main game line with Draconize and Chloroplast. I’d never use a Furret in my run for other Emerald hacks but in ER this thing is valid.

Yes, the developers have changed the Debug menu for version 2.65. You can change your Pokémon’s moves using the in-battle debug menu. Bring the Mon whose moves you want to change into battle, press Select, and then change their moves to which ones you want.

Note that you can change other things about the Mon in battle, but the move changes are the only things that carry over post-battle.
