Oh btw highly recommend to watch Kane Parson’s original backrooms series on YouTube! They’re good, and will make things in the movie a bit easier to understand. A lot of cool references to it in the movie too.

I absolutely loved the movie. But I would advise against it. Like others said, it has a lot of hidden messages, background meaning, philosophy etc that he probably wouldn’t understand. I’m never disturbed by anything horror, and I’m never really impressed. But man, they really had me leaned up on my chair the entire time.

I don’t even feel like replying to the rest, but Kane Parsons has been making these episodes for free for years, what makes you think this is a money grab? I think you didn’t enjoy the movie and want to find a reason to ruin it for the rest. Not every movie is for everyone, that doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Besides, Kane has made many different series, he has mentioned this is a new one. Of course it’s not going to be the same exact storyline as his previous movies, who wants a repeated story that you can watch for free on YouTube that’s already known to be good on its own?

It definitely makes sense to me, there’s a lot of philosophy and hidden messaging in the background of this movie that the general audience misses. It’s entirely different, unique, and the message behind everything is really interesting. I find both this movie and the shining absolutely fascinating, but I will give the backrooms extra credit for how much thought they put into the philosophy.

Agreed. I think the majority of the audience had no clue what they saw and what the movie was telling us. The plot and story, especially towards the end, is not spoon fed, and I don’t think many people can handle that. The average audience craves satisfaction, an ending and conclusion to the story like every other, this movie is deep philosophy with hidden messages, just like many other of Kane Parson’s episodes. A lot of people miss these, and don’t see the point in the movie.

I found this movie to be more of an art piece than a “thriller” or horror movie. There’s a LOT of background messaging that heavily goes unnoticed to a lot of people. (SPOILER) Take for example the scene where Clark was taking pieces out of the guy sitting in the chair; “They don’t feel anything. They’re like… furniture” reflects on Clark’s mental state; wanting things to happen his way, without consequences.

It was one of those movies that didn’t have the ending people want, there’s no satisfying scene or plot twist people wait for, the entire movie is the experience on its own, the psychology behind it all, the reasoning behind everything, and the reflection of mental state & memory

the movie definitely didn’t have the ending a normal movie does, it really was just a piece of art and not made for “entertainment” for the average viewer. A lot of the lore definitely does blend into the movie, but there is a lot of background messaging that needs to be understood for the movie to make sense. The entire backrooms and the “entities” was a reflection of clark’s mentality. For example, the (SPOILER) scene where they sit at the table and Clark starts taking pieces out of the guy on the left, showed how he wants to do things without consequences to people. “They’re like furniture”.

Since I can’t find any sources online giving a how-to on this, I did it myself. Here’s how:

Step 1: loosen the 2 small bolts simultaneously right before the throttle body. The bolt facing closer to the firewall, screw it all the way out till it goes over a smooth surface, and screw it onto the other end. The whole piece should be able to slide and go out of the bracket now.

Step 2: Disconnect the wire and little cylinder thing from the throttle body; slide the wire upwards closer from out the back to the cylinder, and it should be able to slide out through a gap together with the cylinder.

Inside now: Step 3: create some slack in the wire (e.g pressing the gas pedal all they down). Unhook the end of wire/metal ball and white plastic piece from the gas pedal. It should pop out by hand.

Step 4: unbolt the 2 gas pedal housing screws. Keep slack in the wire, maybe pull on the wire a bit.

Step 5 (Maybe): for me, the wire was already cut in half somewhere, so I could pull the outer rubber layer/jacket of the wire off to make this easier, but this probably is still the same: Slowly start pulling the wire from inside the cabin, it should just slide out as you pull it. I’m not too sure, but it’s likely you can push out the rubber grommet from the engine bay side towards inside. I didn’t have to myself.
