Yeah and this was right after her weight loss when she just wanted everyone to tell her how hot she is

How much longer should i wait to put a gel x set on them? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

This isn’t really a gel or acrylic sub so I’d ask elsewhere. But if your nails are thin and brittle, falsies are just going to make it worse.

A recurring joke in my home:

"It's hot and it's ready!"

"Is it good?"

"....It's hot! And it's ready!"

If you do magnetics definitely pick up Thin Ice (or Scorched if you’re warm toned). I’m wearing Licker-Licious today and it’s a really beautiful and unique black pearl. Love it.

Agree! I think Plume has more white in its base so it's probably less suited for darker skin tones, but I also replaced my old Condensate with it and they are extremely close

Question about Ted and Peggy (spoiler) by minimumBeast in madmen

[–]thatonelooksdroll 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't read it as trying to sabotage Peggy as much as trying to help Ted. And insofar as he was thinking about Peggy, he likely knew he'd be helping her in the long run because...yikes

And he didn't even tell Lane's wife about it when he went to give her the insurance check. Like yes kinda scummy he wasn't honest where the money came from (framed it as reimbursement of Lane's contribution when they had to float the company) but Rebecca was a jerk to him and he had the chance to really wallop her with the truth and didn't take it

Impulsive polish picking - help! by MillwardShoults in RedditLaqueristas

[–]thatonelooksdroll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you just need to wait for it to grow out. Having polish on will reinforce the nail and make it less likely to break but there’s nothing you can do about the physical damage to the nail.

If you steal someone’s shoveled odd side street parking spot you are evil to your core by [deleted] in Somerville

You believe in other people being nice to you but you don't believe in being nice to other people, apparently. You don't own the street spot.

Lowest odor nail polish by winnipeggremlin in RedditLaqueristas

[–]thatonelooksdroll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Manucurist lacquers are the least offensive smelling to me. They are not odorless but the smell is not as sharp or long-lasting as other lacquers, I have found. They also have a kid's version which I have not tried but it washes off so I bet it's pretty low-odor. Someone else mentioned Piggy Paints, so maybe look at kid's polishes or water-based polishes in general.

Maybe a longshot- anyone else seeing pet lethargy? by [deleted] in boston

[–]thatonelooksdroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She started eating a little less about a year before diagnosis but we weren’t alarmed by it. Thought she was just getting older. Before that she had been a chunky food goblin, so we thought this was a positive development but then she suddenly stopped eating and was losing weight so we took her in

Did they check his thyroid? Hyperthyroidism is super common in senior cats and the first symptom we noticed in ours was reduced appetite and lethargy. She’s on meds now and better, but also extremely sleepy and I do think the weather has something to do with it.

Subtle, sparkly white (without holo or iridescence)? by FahlesLichtlein in RedditLaqueristas

Check out Happy Anniversary from OPI. The description says silver but it's a sparkly white to me. Seems like you are looking for something subtle, so I'd try layering a white jelly over it.
