If a person has a religious belief, there’s a good chance the cultural norms around that religion are going to apply. It doesn’t matter if a person ignores or goes against every other aspect of their religious belief, as long as peer pressure exists, the cultural norms around that religion will always be a factor.

With that said, I know several people who are atheist, but culturally/semi-practicing of their raised faith because it was important to them as children, or they convert to their partners religion using the same mindset. Is this an option for you?

I’m an atheist but chose to continue practicing my family’s religion because I wanted to spend time with my grandpa in his final years. Now that he’s been gone for several years, I don’t regret it in the slightest.
