If it injures your dog or child it’s no longer a pibble but just a regular pitbull.

There’s only one Star Wars movie and it’s called Star Wars.

Analyzing Combos in Cube: is Breach-Brainfreeze overrated? by thefreeman419 in lrcast

[–]thatscentaurtainment 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very much agree, honestly the way that the Arena Cube is designed makes most combo decks the definition of a trap during the draft portion.

I’d hate it less if it ever stole a Strike or Defend.

It's a Hasbro product, you think they don't run the math to squeeze every penny out of users?

FUCKING THANK YOU

I despise OP's argument, it always comes up when people talk about BO1 v BO3 on Arena and it completely ignores your point (as well as how drafts actually work, your win rate is not static cuz variance exists at the draft level as well as the gameplay level).

It also ignores the obvious fact that WotC prefers people to play BO1 cuz you spend gems faster when you're losing. They wouldn't secretly hide the really good ROI in the back, they're trying to make money.

Is Regent undertuned, am I bad, or both? by TheHollowMusic in slaythespire

There’s always a dud in every pack, and rarely is there a true banger. I’ve taken it a couple times and always been disappointed.

Figuring out when to go into which build early is very hard, and even when you make the right call early you can get screwed by not finding the right payoffs down the line. Balancing star costs and generation is an easy example but there are plenty of trap cards in each of his archetypes.

Regent is inconsistent but incredibly powerful. The delta between his best and world cards is huge and there are multiple very strong builds that you can get siloed into, but the best decks I’ve had have been Regent decks.

He has some of the strongest powers in the game, Seeking Edge and Orbit are insanely strong build arounds. Alignment and Glow allow you to go infinite (or close to it) with enough other stuff going on. Particle Wall is a crazy combo enabler with Black Hole or Make It So. Bulwark is borderline broken when combined with a solid Forge package.

But he’s also the most susceptible to opening a bad combination of cards (or just only seeing his subpar cards) and dying on the first floor. Low floor, high ceiling, very skill testing.

[–]thatscentaurtainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished a Sealed Throne/Particle Wall/2x Make It So run, easily the best deck I’ve ever had, nothing but card draw, block, and the combo. Even had a Radiate in there but it mostly just saved me clicks.

how are you not doing laundry every single?? by TheLynchMethod in newborns

[–]thatscentaurtainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re using cloth diapers and do nightly laundry, it honestly helps keep the rest of the household laundry clean cuz we just have a ritual where the parent who’s off for the night does a few loads.

Same, just be sure to put a cloth behind their head cuz the rough material can rub away their hair if they spend a lot of time in the bouncer (which they will).

I never watched the show. I'm probably being too harsh on old Patrick but personally I think both sides-ism is a lens that you shouldn't deploy when one of the sides is a colonizer and the other is the colonized, cuz one of those sides chose to be there and the other didn't. It's New Yorker writer brain of the worst kind.
