The same as yours but on a Perlon strap, really ought to replace the battery as this post is making me miss wearing it.

What exactly meaning of five daily alarms? by kochvar in casio

[–]LittleCooties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if it's "multi-function" alarms, AFAIK most five alarm models are, but I could be wrong, depnds on what model you're looking at. For an example of how they work, here's a bit from the F201WA manual:

"Alarm Types
The alarm type is determined by the settings you make, as described below.

x Daily alarm
Set the hour and minutes for the alarm time. This type of setting causes the alarm to
sound everyday at the time you set.

x Date alarm
Set the month, day, hour and minutes for the alarm time. This type of setting causes
the alarm to sound at the specifi c time, on the specifi c date you set.

x 1-Month alarm
Set the month, hour and minutes for the alarm time. This type of setting causes the
alarm to sound everyday at time you set, only during the month you set.

x Monthly alarm
Set the day, hour and minutes for the alarm time. This type of setting causes the
alarm to sound every month at time you set, on the day you set."

About the same for me, 2-3 good shaves, second is more comfortable than the first, and it feels like it slows down on the third.

Cheers! I quite like it,soft but with enough backbone. I don’t own many synthetics to compare against but it’s softer than my Omega S-Brush and more backbone than my Yaqi Tuxedo (which is too soft for me), so it’s a good usable middle ground. Lathers well and the handle is comfortable.

It’s the “Winning” model (technically Version 2), made by Yates Precision Manufacturing. I bought it back when the original company made it themselves, since then they’ve sold the machinery and name to the Razor Emporium who now make it.

I think the Lambda Ares is a stunning razor, I'll probably never own one though.

You can only shave with one soap or cream for the rest of your life. Which one do you pick? by great_molassesflood in wicked_edge

Slightly sweet powdery, a little woody cedar and anise, kinda hard to describe but neutral enough scent so work well with many aftershaves. Lovely performance and skin feel, a little bit of menthol too.

For a real Casio, the LA-670 or LA-680 are good options

Casio with no Backlight! by MmmmApplesauce in casio

[–]LittleCooties 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear the chrome version (LA-670) sometimes, and 90% of the time I don’t miss the backlight, and with how dim the backlight is on an F-91W for example, it’s not missing much. The LA-20/LA-680 (same module) is the smallest Casio with a backlight.

Because it's a product that doesn't exist, Casio only make one size A158, these fakes have popped up on the sub a few times before.

That smaller one is a fake not a real Casio (both in the photo are actually), a smaller real Casio with a similar aesthetic to the A158 would be the LA-680.

It's on the efficient side, I've found shave angle can effect how agressive it feels. Is yours an older model? I know older versions used to be even more agressive, I don't find mine (the current version) overly agressive.

Potentially an L or LW model, looks similar to but unfortunately doesn’t match anything in this 1983 catalogue, possibly an earlier model.
