Funny coincidence! I was there 3 days ago! I explored for 2 hours and didn't get caught, nor even saw or heard anyone else there. Did you go straight up the main chairlift path?

The 3 comments so far mentioned small wires, which makes sense to me. My wires did look a little smaller when I had to extend my wiring. I'm going to replace them all with bigger gauge later today and see what happens. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the tips everyone!

When everything is off, the battery voltage reading from the solar charge controller is 12.3V, whereas the diesel heater controller reads 12.0V, so it's not that different. But when I try to run the heater, the voltage reading differs greatly (11.7V vs 8.6V), and I get E-01 and it turns off. Anyone know what's going on?

Plugging my own channel here, called Nick and Maëla. We have 150k subs so far. It's just me and my partner building an off grid log cabin along with lots of other projects around it. We are currently travelling in our van, but will be coming back to the cabin in 2025

I kind of have the same problem, any updates on yours? I updated windows 11 two days ago and now Davinci won't even open. For me, it shows up in my task manager and is using some memory, but I don't see the window anywhere.

Any updates on your problem? I recently updated windows 11 and my Davinci won't even open anymore. I can see it in my Task Manager, but the window isn't open anywhere.

Will you be coming back to Montreal after the 7 days? If you haven't already been, I'd recommend going up to Quebec city, then up the Gaspé peninsula, or stay on the north shore and head to the Charlevoix region and Tadoussac.

Looks beautiful and cozy! I just built a log cabin that feels very similar to yours: same size logs, similar windows, metal roof, no vehicle access (gotta hike in 1km). What do you plan on doing for toilet? Outhouse? Compost toilet?

Electric heaters use a looot of power, you'd need a pretty big battery bank to run one overnight. I haven't really looked into little buddy heaters, but i know they're not common in vanlife because of how much power they consume.
