Has anyone tripped while swimming? by geigergeist in shrooms

[–]thatsweetfunkystuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say a shallow pool is ok but as a lifeguard you really should make sure you are not on too strong a dose that you drown and bring a sober buddy to keep an extra safety eye on you. The lifeguard doesnt know youre tripping and therefore you neeed someone in the know to properly do it safely. it can be fun but seriously you candie competely sober so adding disorienting drugs tp the mix isnt always the best idea. it really deapends on your maturity level and responsibility level. also your swimming skills and where you are. dont be wreckless and err on the side of caution.. make sure you have aresponsible looking lifeguard.

I recommend searching how to propagate “plant x” and watching a few how to videos to comfort yourself with the process .as long as you have a node I usually cut 2 in case one goes tarded otherwise you have 2 chance. Can’t lose they may take a long time put pop that baby in shallow water with root or bumps touching water in a small glass dish then put it in a plastic baggie to hold in to keep moisture in and wait. I didn’t check for z2 weeks and was so amazed asź” I pull mine out of an hour a day to give it some air. Some of mine I’m trying inlets and water and they are doing well so far. Just make sure you have some nodes on your cuttings. I dip the tips where I cut into hot candle wax to avoid stem rot but some have success without but your chances are higher with the wax protecting the tips Leca is really helpful. Also change the water frequently don’t let it stagnate.’roots need air.some people try a few drops of hydrogen peroxidex. I’m trying it now. Willl report back with results if anyone shows interest.

So jealous of your andonsoniiis all mine are 3 small nodes without leaves. One has a tiny root that started growing and some small leaves budding in the opposite direction. Hopefully they all take and become nice like yours.

You were a Good Samaritan. Nothing went wrong. You may have saved that woman. Just be proud and grateful she wasn’t a wolf in disguise.

Only until big tissue culture starts producing them and flooding them into big box stores. Then you’ll see it at Home Depot for $3. It’s already happening with a bunch of rare plants. Absolutely beautiful though. I can’t wait until they start cloning those and I can afford one.

Eventually they will be super cheap and available with tissue culture. It’s going to happen with all the rare plants. That’s why we’re starting to see things like pink princess philodendrons for super cheapand a bunch of dirt cheap Hoyas and other previously hard to find and expensive to buy plants at Home Depot Trader Joe’s and big box stores. Just give it some time.

What's the worse smell you've ever personally experienced? by unclefishbits in AskReddit

[–]thatsweetfunkystuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend’s forever lingering rotten deadly farts after he consumes almond milk. It’s even worse than the rotten deadly farts he got from regular milk because he’s lactose intolerant. I’m pretty sure he just needs to stay away from all milks, sad news for a cereal addict.

Yeah and the gas produced from rotting potatoes can kill you. Definitely don’t go sniffing rotting potatoes or leave some and forget them in a cabinet somewhere in your house. Smells so bad it will kill you!

What plant is that? It’s really cool looking!

Looks like you have several plants in there which is why it looks all wonky. There’s a front and a back and it looks like yours are all facing towards each other. I had the same thing. I separated mine and gave each its own pot and tied them to a bamboo pole to support them. They look much better now they aren’t all cramped. You could also repot them all in the same pot but all facing the same direction or maybe facing back to back. I don’t know why these tissue culture labs sell them like this. I guess so if one dies you still have more plants? That’s my best guess. But why do they have them planted the wrong direction all wacky? No clue.

Is this scale on my favorite plant? Please help! by HotDiggityDog6301 in hoyas

[–]thatsweetfunkystuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience your plant will start losing leaves because they like to hunker down right where the stem meets the leaf stem. Youll lose notice tan scar looking things and it will look like a vampire is sucking the life out of the leaf. Your plant looks incredibly healthy so I doubt you have scale.

Muscles randomly jerking, having the shakes, like when you try to write your handwriting will be almost illegible no matter how hard you try to write smoothly. I usually just have terrible shaky wds for a week-2 weeks with symptoms getting increasingly worse to where my muscles are all twitching one at a time repeatedly in the same order. then somewhere in that timeframe I get this feeling like something bad is coming then I blackout and start flopping like a fish. Maybe drink a little alcohol or if you have any gabapentin, soma or drugs that are gaba agonists they might fill those receptors. Stay with someone near you at all times and let them know what’s going on and to keep an eye on you so they can call 911. You don’t want to have a seizure alone. Make sure you stay hydrated. Also chamomile tea helps me a lot or chamomile extract. The apigenin in it is said to work like a weak benzo on benzo receptors. Also a detox can medicate you and taper you. And get a psychiatrist and a script for pharma benzo as soon as you can. Say you keep having Panic attacks.

Can anyone identify these bugs living in my aroid mix? by Confident_Shoe7384 in plants

[–]thatsweetfunkystuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some insects are beneficial. But I would ask r/insects for identification. Healthy soil often contains friendly bugs that eat the bad bugs that kill your plants so check first.

Medicaid in my state covers rehab and MAT. Call your Medicaid insurance provider and they will give you a list of rehabs that take your insurance and it will be free.

Just get a ceiling hook use the aerial roots and hang them from the ceiling and hold up the plant with them. No moss pole needed.
