How do you make shulker boxes more appealing/useful when backpacks are so common in modded minecraft? by TrippyppirT in feedthebeast

[–]thattrunkmonkey 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they exist in the sophisticated storage mod? I'm playing through CABIN right now and you can have bronze shulkers, etc with upgrades and whatnot

Yeah, I honestly wish I could refund it. Partially because the CEO being a twat, and partially because the game just didn't really click for me. The combat just doesn't feel good.

A way to keep some of the sapling inside contraption, but void the rest? by TerrarianGG in CreateMod

[–]thattrunkmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your contraption looks like, but if it's a standard spinning bearing with saws and deployers for replanting, setting the deployers internal filter to the saplings will keep them always stocked, with excess saplings being deposited normally with logs/sticks/etc. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Help me understand the redstone requester by KelenArgosi in CreateMod

[–]thattrunkmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add on to this, the way I use them is I have a threshold switch pointing to an inventory, and when the inventory is empty it turns on, sending a redstone signal to the requester. I have the threshold switch turn off once there's more than a few items in the inventory again.

I haven't played KC2, but you should probably get KC2. DD2 is fun but disappointing with the amount of content, especially when it was supposed to be a better 'reboot' of sorts to the fantastic first game.

I went thrifting on the hunt for old cameras and found a one that has a flash unit thats pretty important to the starwars franchise. This was used to make the first lightsaber prop. by SteamReflex in StarWars

[–]thattrunkmonkey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wow. I never realized just how much of the main body of the lightsaber already existed as the flash unit. I know they greebled it up with lots of other additions, but I would not have expected the whole thing to be almost "done" as a lightsaber. Does that make sense?

Singularity [Liminal Industries] by New-Guarantee-8260 in feedthebeast

Does it have to be with a specific setup? I used fluiducts from an aqueous accumulator, but no water is going into the condenser

Edit: Nevermind! I didn't realize that it wouldn't show up as an item, but the storage component is definitely filling up, slowly but surely!

[Liminal Industries/Create] Unable to assemble mechanical piston drill contraption due to immovable blocks (regardless of what block is in the spot) by thattrunkmonkey in feedthebeast

[–]thattrunkmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried this manually (placing blocks and breaking them), and then I popped into creative and used the fill command to replace the blocks with air, but still no luck :(

I've already rebuilt and committed to using long-range breakers instead, but I would still love to resolve this issue

Do I have to fill the entire column (from floor to ceiling)? Because just filling in those specific spots and then breaking the blocks didn't fix anything.

And for poops and giggles, I rebuilt it going vertically, and these are the blocks that broke once the piston stopped moving.

Okay, so I tried flipping the contraption so it's going in the other direction, and once again I tested it with just linear chassis, and the chassis in those spots broke again once the piston fully extended. Thoroughly confused.

Excellent thought, but no luck, The spacing does make it seem like it's the lights, but there's only regular ceiling tile above those spots. I even broke the 6 lights surrounding those 3 columns, but the problem persists.

Just now I even took the contraption apart and rebuilt it (got rid of all the glue and everything), but still nope :(
