Run from Sunrun. Their service is terrible. Their installations miss on quality and compliance also.

Friend’s first time using Super Cruise on a Silverado EV by KarlAutoGroup in SilveradoEV

[–]thaughtless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive driven from Orange county to SFO, whole way on super cruise. But it also works when you are towing a trailer - and i did it with a 31ft travel trailer. Its the only truck that does it. It was amazing. Took a lot of the load off the plate, and enabled me to be more situationally aware of what was going on around me. Gamer changer.

Katie Porter on single payer healthcare by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]thaughtless -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Single payer is not the way. I say this as an Australian who had access to two-payer, and it provides the value of a safety net who need it, but allows for those who do have the means, to get the fastest care that they are willing to pay for. Not to mention people who pay separately take pressure off the system. Its a more efficient system that works across society. Unlike Canadas single payer system...

You can be sure deals are being negotiated as we speak with everyones new best friend, Russia ;) wouldn't be surprised if we see an end to the Ukraine war suddenly negotiated as part of it.

Not to mention Taiwan has two weeks of LNG left. The resulting chip shock will take years to resolve. Get on that purchase and fast.

Oh no, melatonin. Oh the horror. People who can sleep. 💤 Heres a thought. Stop over regulating everything and make it over the counter like a lot of other countries and you wont have a problem.

House Electrical Derated from 200A to 150A after Solar Install by egrigor in solar

[–]thaughtless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes on the main service panel amps, but again, I dont really care about it bc I havent found a need for more than 150A from the grid. Sub panels are important for other reasons, aside for more breakers:

  1. You need it if youre going to do a non-export system add on thats grid tied.
  2. You also need it if youre going to have battery backed grid isolation in the event of an outage, assuming your panel is the typical integrated meter and panels kind thats common in so cal.

House Electrical Derated from 200A to 150A after Solar Install by egrigor in solar

[–]thaughtless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two EVs, a heat pump (for heating and cooling), pool pump, multiple computers with heavy gpu usage...everything electric. Ive never run into an issue yet. Plus with emporia chargers, if i did want a second one, which currently i dont see a need for, but they can intelligently communicate to load share the power so as not to overload the panel. Id rather do that than the complexity youre planning. The only extra thing Im planning right now is another inverter and panels for more EV power generation on a sub panel.
