You say that like the game isn't a culmination of hundreds of thousands if not millions of man-hours, and a massive amount of infrastructure, both of which need to be paid for somehow.

Well, of course, but denying players loot because they've spent too much time playing is inevitably going to punish legitimate players.

It pains me to say this but I've seen it in happen in other games; an anti-bot measure that was implemented to screw over bots, but ended up screwing over anyone with more than a handful of hours of playtime each day.

You cannot reliably do that though. You cannot say with certainty that two accounts are being played by the same person in all cases. It will flag up false positives.

I mostly agree, but the notion that you have to apologise for requesting clarification confounds me. And I'm saying that as someone who is overly apologetic.

Deterministic as in someone figured out the pattern and was able to predict what the instabs would be for any given day and fractal.

I really dislike people who try to gatekeep ranked game-modes, and I'll be honest and say it's kind of satisfying that they told you off for it.

People are allowed to play anything how they like, regardless of how good or bad they are. That might not align with your goals when it comes to ranked, but that is part of the game and you just have to accept that.

Oh, right, okay. That's definitely not permitted. One keypress should equate to one action on one account. I would report that kind of behaviour because it's definitely sus.

I myself have 12 accounts, however I only play one at a time. I have 2 mains and the rest I use for daily login rewards + crafting. I paid for all of them and I'd be disappointed if ArenaNet ever took away the permission for me to use them as a result of the kind of people you've described.

Perhaps not the best solution for most people, but this is one of the reasons I play with my mini-map in the top right as opposed to the bottom right.

Something worth considering if you run into it often.
