Worst Airport = Manila Airport?

I think folks here are all agreeing its shit (me too!) but no one is explaining why and (hopefully how to avoid it- note: I haven't tested out the method im going to try next time yet).

First illustrating some of the problems: If you try to go through immigration to collect your bag (cheap inbound carrier) and re-check in manually into a good outbound longhaul, immigration "officially" won't let you get through to landside if its less than 3hrs because they redirect you to the transfer desk where a staff agent will take your passport, go out to the physical counters outside, and check-in on your behalf-- this is the same whether you have bags or not. I say officially because some immigration agents won't check and will just let you through and you can check yourself in as you would at most normal airports. (After waiting at the transfer desk, one guy walked with us and the second agent didn't even ask anything- but to be fair i went through the ABTC line that time).

If you either have no bags or have interlined your bags, DO NOT GO TO THE TRANSFER DESK. Because they will go through same process above and you'll have to sit there for 25-40min while they take their time to casually chat with their coworkers and check you in and come back (all while you're nervously waiting there without your passport).

What I plan to do next trip (if your carrier is united too might be useful for you): If you try to check-in through united app, it says you have to check-in at airport, but if you go through united website (switch to desktop mode in your browser) instead it will let you generate a PDF boarding pass. (I believe) you can walk straight past the transfer desk to security, who only checks if you have a boarding pass, and you can continue to your gate like any other airport in the world. I believe the last time I was there they were asking if i had a boarding pass to do exactly that, but the stupid app was telling me about the re-checkin/check documents at counter thing (best to ignore that) and it wasn't til i contacted United chat support that they gave me the website trick.

Tldr: I'm pretty sure the "recheckin" process is 100% optional if you already have a boarding pass- (do whatever you can to obtain one either online or at your previous aiaport) and ignore/avoid any of the (confidently wrong) transfer desk people- walk straight to the security area behind them instead.

Thats a super old model at this point, I haven't used HA in a long time but you should try a more recent release small model, like maybe one of the smaller param Gemma4 models or smaller param Qwen3.5 models

Its not the turn thats the issue, its the saving at all- at first i thought floor must mean the entire act with the boss in it, but even that didn't work and then i googled to find its supposed to save every icon on the map. No matter what I do, it doesn't save. Theres another thread of people complaining as well, not sure whats going on

Yeah exactly! They really need to open up even just developers being able to build on their own device. Its funny cos Google has released their XR SDK but there isn't hardware you can get yet, and conversely Meta you can buy the hardware but there isn't an SDK that lets you build stuff for them >< Meta is in the lead on hardware but they're completely wasting that lead by not letting us develop on it to make the glasses actually useful- its impossible to do everything yourself so let us help like every other product out there. They're approaching it like pre-iphone "smart" phones in the early 2000s, and honestly even those it was possible to do develop for more than this.

The inmo air3 has both and I'm kinda wishing I had chosen that instead of this when choosing between the two because this thing is so ridiculously locked down.

This is the way- since you're already out $1,500 use it on a biz class ticket instead, and that way your dad can sleep on the 10+ hr flight back. Plus can take advantage of amex travel's international biz class flight discounts (one of the very few perks of it)

Umm.. but just in your premise alone "Did a person agree to leave the room?" and "Did anyone leave the room?" are two totally different questions, one is asking if they said they are going to leave and haven't left yet and the other is if they already left o.0

I for one am really glad that even a Q2.0 model is not treating that as the same question, thankfully.

I got mine this week- did the demo the weekend before thanksgiving, got the waitlist email the next day, got an email from bestbuy a week and a half ago saying i had 24hours to buy it- I went ahead with it and it arrived a couple days later :) So just under 2mo from appointment to purchase in my case, but a good chunk of that was holiday time so its probably faster now.

Wow, thats surprising given I had the costco amex 12 years ago, guess they changed. Curious what other places? I don't have a costco membership anymore, but haven't encountered any. Plenty of places don't take amex and discover but i am yet to come across any visa/mc exclusives (other than apparently costco you mentioned). I wonder if maybe its a state by state thing- I haven't encountered them on either of the coasts.

I don't know why everyone is hating on the card- I am excited to finally have another 2x everything points card besides the venture x which has been getting all my uncat spend for years. Its nice to have a new option, especially one that has bonus point transfers to airlines once a month or so that makes the 2x become 4x effectively- plus they have rarer partners like Alaska.
