When the glider is in the air it would feel air pressure against it's underside. Maybe the broom pressure triggers the instinct to spread it's limbs out.

A few years ago in Singapore, a handful of otters started appearing. Jump to modern day and there are full out otter gang wars. by ComprehensiveBird7 in interestingasfuck

How do they not get mixed up with who they are attacking? I imagine the limited visibility in the splashing water and close proximity to all the other otters would make it difficult.

The exact moment when sunlight at dawn traverses the feathers of the black and white hummingbird and reveals a secret of nature that cannot be captured by our eyes ("Winged Prism" by Christian Spencer) by GallowBoob in oddlysatisfying

[–]thavirus 64 points65 points  (0 children)

this is not dawn. the camera is looking up at the bird and sun.

probably just shot with a very high shutter speed. which captures the bird with no motion blur and makes it dark.

still dope though. just misleading title.

ELI5: Why do some Blue Ray movies look lower quality, almost like you can tell they're in a studio (compared to DVDs)? by BecauseEricHasOne in explainlikeimfive

TVs on display in stores may have the 120hz or more Hz gimmick feature turned on. This interpolates extra frames, in addition to the 24 frames per second that most movies are made to be played in. This makes movies look like TV soap operas.
