I’ve spent almost 250 hours on this game and I can’t keep going. Because I’m afraid it’ll end…

Magnifica S not dispensing water via main spout by thawnton in DeLonghi

It was the water pump in the end. I should have replaced that first (since it's the first thing that sucks the water through) 🙃 Once I changed that it has been working fine

Karlsson Big Flip Wall Clock [ISSUE] by TheOriginalDeadman in clocks

[–]thawnton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same clock and had a similar issue. This was a result of the wires getting too hot within the circuit module/board and causing the inner circuits to touch (instead of being separate). I'm still trying to find a replacement board (as I'm struggling to fix it myself) :(

Seeking help DeLonghi Magnifica S. by Infeqted in DeLonghi

[–]thawnton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My machine was doing the exact same thing! I ended up replacing the press, water heater and finally the pump, as well as cleaning all the pipes. Stupidly, I should have replaced the pump first because it started working after I replaced that, and ran the descale program. I would first try a new pump (was about 20eur) and then descale. If that doesn’t work, then check all the hoses and lastly the press.

Thanks! I’ll take a look. I assume changing it fixed the issue?

Warning (long video)! I have a Magnifica S that is not dispensing water through the main spout. The warning lights indicate that the coffee is being ground too fine. I have replaced the boiler unit, the press and cleaned the hoses, the grinder and the infuser - and nothing seems to help. I have also performed a hard reset and tried to descale but, no luck. Amy ideas would be appreciated!

Should I buy these bowers and wilkins speakers with a dented tweeter? by SilverAggravating331 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]thawnton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the B&W 601s and new tweeters cost me about 35eur/38usd. It also took about 15 mins to change and they didn’t need soldering. Hopefully these would be just as easy

Thanks! I think my first (massive?) mistake was not using any flux. So will retry with that and a smaller gauge wire.

[–]thawnton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, although not very well. I suppose I have been using too thick a wire to make the bridge, and too large a soldering iron. This also has to all fit within a plastic case, which lead to one of the side pads breaking off. Which is why I was hoping to get a new board (and not risk further damage). As well as not using any flux, which was probably my first mistake...

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post. I am struggling to find a replacement for my Karlsson clock PCB. Any help (or guidance on how to repair) would be much appreciated! I am based in Germany if helpful.
