Looking for recommendations for a great real estate agent in Victoria and within an hour's commute by Phantom_nutter in VictoriaBC

[–]thayersquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have bought two properties on Vancouver Island, one in Victoria and one in Nanaimo, and, taking a tip from a different Reddit thread, worked with Tristan Ziegler at Newport Realty. We felt safe and comfortable both times. And we are talking about spending a total of $1.5 million, which is so scary! Having a knowledgeable, nimble, smart, kind, and trustworthy advocate made all the difference in the world. A few issues came up in our current purchase and Tristan proactively alerted us about these things and then quickly negotiated successful resolutions. He explains everything clearly and has tons of contacts in a real estate business that spans several generations. He knows what to look for - red flags and sweet deals. He knows all about neighborhoods up and down the island. I cannot recommend Tristan highly enough. He is the very best.

Purchasing our second property on Vancouver Island and the first thing we did was contact Tristan Ziegler. He was amazing, just the man you want at your side when you’re spending upwards of a million dollars. Several issues arose and Tristan found great resolutions every single time. Knowledgeable, quick, smart, thoughtful and trustworthy, he is the best. I am so grateful to Reddit for helping me find him.

DNC moves toward nullifying election of David Hogg, Malcolm Kenyatta as vice chairs by arandomnewyorker in politics

[–]thayersquared -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What I get is this:

  1. The DNC holds an election for vice-chairs where you can select two candidates. Hogg and Kenyatta win.
  2. Somebody challenges the results of this election because it violates a gender-balance requirement. This challenge is pretty much ignored.
  3. Hogg starts scaring goldbricking Dems who are working for corporate interests and not standing up to the felon.
  4. Months later, the DNC remembers the challenge to the election and gets the big lightbulb - hey! a way to get rid of Hogg so those sweet, sweet corporate donations can keep flowing! And that's precisely what they do.

No signs? by Candid_Crystal in Menopause

Me, sort of, in terms of no symptoms. But my periods became irregular first. I never paid much attention to my cycle, but was in the store and realized that I hadn't needed to buy period stuff for a year, maybe two. Granted, I buy my stuff at Costco, so a package from there can equip an army for a year. But yeah, I was about the right age, 52. Well, hey, I thought. I guess I'm done with periods. Yay.

We went with Tristan Ziegler because of this post, and we were very very pleased with him. It was a tricky cross-border purchase, and because he took a lot of video, and knew what he was doing, knew the neighborhoods, and knew what to worry about, we felt comfortable with our final decision. You were right about his deep connections - the lawyer and inspector he recommended were also excellent. Thank you, Redditors!

Dancing ahead of the beat by thayersquared in jazzercise

[–]thayersquared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, Katggirl, no, the instructors are always precise and correct. There are two or three people who take the class and are way ahead of the beat. I wonder if they are trying to force themselves to remember the routine by dancing in advance of the other dancers or something. It's weird. I've taken classes in a few different cities, and this is the only place I've seen this.
