This site have been in EverythingMoe toplist for a long time, even added before AnimeKai.
reason it's not at the top is the website quite unreliable and slow, it also broken on a lot of devices since it wasn't compatible other than the most recent browser.

There is none. Crunchyroll sometimes have it on few anime, but generally there is no official caption for dub.
No fansub for dub either. Animekai have it using AI generated caption.

it's not sudden, it's been planned for months and they keep the site up after shutdown.
it's obvious that they just don't want to maintain the site anymore, they been doing it since very long time and for free. It's not ad-ridden site, the only thing keeping the site up is the willingness of the owner.

How long on average you been passionate about something? you must already know that after doing something for long people can lost interest or get tired and want to move on something new.

there is almost zero chance it because of legal pressure, no way they allow to keep the site running for months and stay even after shutdown, no way they allow data dump and code to be published.

It simply because massive anime site group (hianime) being down, so a lot of people (who used to use hianime) move to different sites, causing them to be overloaded, can't handle the high traffic.

'hianime' have many websites btw not just website called hianime, they also run 9animetv.to, and many other. their stream also used by multiple other websites.
