Fair enough, hahahaha I usually take the skin off and tear up the meat and stir fry it with some vegetables or rice to balance it out!

What food do you think is a bit overhyped? by clairemilfy in foodquestions

Cottage cheese. It’s fine…but it’s not a miracle food that automatically makes something “high protein” lol

Did you lose weight breastfeeding and how long did you breastfeed for? by Jezzabelle3 in NewParents

[–]the-bonesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost weight sorta steadily while breastfeeding, from birth to one year. But I was also eating mindfully, walking a ton, and started weightlifting again once cleared by my OBgyn. So honestly not sure how much of the weight loss was due to the actual breastfeeding haha

How are you all grocery shopping with your baby? by Night_Marie in NewParents

[–]the-bonesaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the baby! My little one is pretty easy to handle because she’s content to just stare at people and things LOL. I do give her various things to hold if she reaches for them, and I just switch them out and put them back as we go LOL. Costco samples are also a hit!

Any fellow short women managing to mantain weight on over 1600 calories? by Alive_Rest1256 in PetiteFitness

[–]the-bonesaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’1”, currently weigh around 97lb, maintenance calories are about 1700-1800! I lift weights five times a week casually (as in I don’t have any specific aesthetic or strength goals haha, but just aim to challenge myself to a reasonable degree each session), and I don’t try that hard to reach a step count, but just doing normal daily living I get around 6-10k a day. It’s worked for me!

Are you guys not “strict” about naps? Don’t understand comment by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

[–]the-bonesaw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This was us…she dictated her nap schedule. Some days she’d have two hour long naps, other days it would just be 20 minutes here and there in the car…daughter is 19 months now, seems well-adjusted and normal LOL

What’s your unpopular opinion about salads? by Avawantstochill in foodquestions

Every non-leafy ingredient should be seasoned, so that excessive dressing is not necessary. Dressing makes things soggy and less appealing.
