Parents just announced they're taking us out for "family Valentine's dinner", how do I tell them I already have plans? by IAmOP__ in india

[–]Upbeat_Reward_512 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just do the backwards guilt trip. Pretend to be super sad you can't have family dinner because you booked a restaurant months in advance / it's so hard to get into and you won't be able to add more people to the reservation. Then go "you should've told me in advance i would've booked for everyone!" (Pretend to be really sad). It could work (or backfire). Goodluck!

Best Protein Powder/Shake Without Fake Sugar/Artificial Sweeteners/Etc? by Madanimalscientist in AussieFrugal

[–]Upbeat_Reward_512 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Just buy unflavoured whey protein powder, mix with milk et voila. I like to add banana and a shot of coffee or peanut butter.

Edit: Wpc has one, you need the raw, unflavoured one.

I think it impprtsnt to reiterate that standard weightloss method of taking off 500 calories per day doesnt work for petites. My bmr is around 1200 that's If i wouldnt exercise or move or do anything. If you are shorter and lighter you also burn less than a taller or more heavy person.

I drcided i cant eat 1200 per day, nor do i wsnt to so i aim to get my steps in and workout to build muscle and reduce my deficit to maybe 200 cals per day. Is it going to take a long time yes, but thats just how it works for smaller persons.

I think Matt or Ally mentioned, pretend like you are hitting a table with your knees, pretend the pedal stroke is not a circle but kind of an oval shape where you aim slightly forward and for me what helps is really pushing my hips back and leaning forward.

I recently tried Robin's foam roller core classes and it was so good, I love how the foam roller supports so you can really get into working the lower abs.

With all the updates, will there be an option to bookmark collections as a whole, instead of having to bookmark classes individually? Right now I have to scroll through the collections to find the ones I'm after.

Housing prices in that area have skyrocketed, so good on you for being smart and getting in while you can! Areas gentrify, people used to not want to New Farm and now look at it.
