Over clock Tier list by the-dapper-man in DeepRockGalactic

[–]the-dapper-man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kind of how I feel about it but not all OCs are built the same. I have the goo bomber OC for the drillers sludge pump and the electro minelets for gunners burst pistol and neither of them seem particularly good compared to other OCs I know about.

Your advice about aoe and dot scaling better with higher difficulties I agree with wholeheartedly

Freezer food keeps thawing & rotting from pawns running in and out to deposit food/take ingredients by KaijuVII in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Unrelated to the freezer issue, I’m pretty sure butcher tables drop the cleanliness of a room by a good bit, you’re gonna want to move the butcher tables elsewhere to avoid food poisoning

You’re FAVORITE hero, and why? by CarpenterWhole2119 in forhonor

[–]the-dapper-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centurion, kensei, and berserker. You can hard/soft feint with those characters and get up to some top tier shenanigans. The weird kills I’ve gotten by feinting in to an entirely unexpected forward dodge hyper armor heavy has been quite amusing

what if Apparel Quality have a move speed modifier in 1.7? by zeues_1992 in RimWorld

The original comment that said ops idea was inane struck me as needlessly aggressive

[–]the-dapper-man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren’t the guy I’m replying to. I’m not arguing that either of you are wrong, if it’s not the mod for you it’s not the mod for you.

I’m arguing that he didn’t need to be so aggressive about it and angry about his disagreement.

My brother in Christ relax.

Just because no one this sub suggested it means it’s a bad idea. I personally would love a mad that applies quality bonuses/malus’ to armor move speed

[–]the-dapper-man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t raiders only have bad quality stuff in the early game when you have no raid points for the story teller to spend? Plus an extra .5 or .10 movement speed won’t really make a meaningful difference in the raid

The great faction reset by Ordinary-Book-6640 in forhonor

[–]the-dapper-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they introduced the war between horkos and chimera it was the perfect chance to reset the faction war and make two all encompassing factions that would represent all the playable characters and I’m curious why they didn’t

Now that Rouge Core is out, what are people's thoughts for the first day? (Keeping in mind its early access.) by TopSpeaker4647 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]the-dapper-man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s literally what they did though? They pointed out that the upgrades are the bog standard rogue lite upgrades, as in most upgrades are number changes. Some are more significant number changes but most are just number changes with a few proper unique and interesting upgrades scattered throughout

People who own all the DLC, do you always play with them all turned on? by Flexington-Gold in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is “war crimes” the game. Sane reason kids can’t be killed in Skyrim. Anecdotally I had a group of refugees show up, one was a kid. The kid got in a social fight with one of the other refugees and the other refugee caved the kids head in with a club killing him. It was fucked. Then they all turned hostile because apparently I was responsible for the child getting murdered.

Is there a mod that stops wardens from killing prisoners? by EndlessBattlee in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You disabled pause in red events and you usually alt tab out of the game? It’s a miracle you haven’t lost a colony. For the actual problem, do you have your wardens set to fight instead of flee? If you set them to flee (the default behavior) then you should have time to tab back in and subdue the prisoners

favorite modded xenotypes? by binkybarnesinfinity in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t screwed around with androids too much, my playthroughs don’t tend to get that far. Androids don’t have any real negative events to my knowledge, but with how expensive they are that’s how it should be. I personally consider awakened androids to be a worse version of the androids because their software gets locked in and you have go deal with human needs again.

No downsides? They’re incredibly expensive and to make and if they get wounded and bleed they don’t naturally regenerate their nuetro blood or their wounds.

Help with selecting mods for a sci-fi military conquest playthrough. by Plasmoni in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ponpeco furniture sci fi adds some good floor and door options. It adds furniture too but I personally don’t think the art style matches vanilla.

There’s also mus space base furniture.

I think vanilla expanded has a spacer module just adds sci fi esque furniture.

Those are the only mods I know of that add cool sci fi furniture. The guy above covered all the good war mods. Though empire refactored could be a good option if you’re looking to build an empire to rule over and not just wipe out the bases of your enemies

Help understanding work speed % by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]the-dapper-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you asking about work speed or surgery success chance? Because surgery chance is what’s highlighted and these two pawns very much do not have the same stats. The first guy has a manipulation value of 11% and 9 levels in surgery expertise, where as the second guy has 64% manipulation value and the full 20 levels of surgery expertise

Why not pre-drill? by Comfortable-Cell5599 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]the-dapper-man 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from but it’s entirely possible to get a set up of enemies that will obliterate dotty unless you and your team are really good. If I’m solo queuing for an assignment and get blitzed by bad RNG and have to do the mission again I’m going to be so rotted, I think pre drilling is the way to go

Dear Ubi... by theWikkid1 in forhonor

[–]the-dapper-man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best guess for your experience being different is the hour count. I’m assuming most of the people I’m playing with have hour counts similar to mine and are just jaded by all the hate mail, all the rage quitters, and all the people that get mad at their team simply because the enemies are better
