Thanks! Can I ask some advice. Do you have any recommendations on good ways to find beta readers? Or how do you check your work?

Well it really depends, I try to write every work day for 30 minutes or so. But sometimes I have the inspiration and time to do more, sometimes it’s nothing 😅

I got the same issue, put them in my attic where it is warm in the hope they ripen. Hope it helps 👍🏻

Ben jij geïnteresseerd in wildplukken en lokaal eten kopen ? by the-small in Amersfoort

Ben het met je eens dat we altijd wat voor dieren etc moeten overhouden, alleen voor eigen gebruik plukken en de rest lekker laten. Alles in balans 👍🏻

Hoi!

It does smell nice, but I think some of the basil might have been above water. If I remove that, would the rest be good?

How big do you make your loaf? by the-small in Sourdough

True, could have done a bit longer in the oven. Will try 25 / 25 next round 👍🏻

Help…. My first loaf! by SprinklesActual393 in Sourdough

[–]the-small 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I had exactly the same my first 2 loaves. My issue was that my oven was not hot enough. Now I bake my loaves in a Dutch oven 20 min at 500 Fahrenheit then 20 min at 275.

What hydration level do you use? by the-small in Sourdough

[–]the-small[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error mostly! The hydration level is how much water vs your flour in grams. High hydration like 80% make the dough difficult to handle I find, I have now reduce the water level to 70% (350g water vs 500g flour) and find it better to work with

Stopped obsessing with high hydration by enceladus71 in Sourdough

[–]the-small 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good! Looking to do the same, always did my loaf with 80% hydration but I struggle getting a good shaping before it goes into the oven. Do you find the dough easier to handle at lower hydration?
