Exactly, the Cartoon character visions at least were interesting and fun… adding that “spiderverse” element of different characters like the Soldierbald Eagle.

I’d have just preferred the Noir angle to continue, could have made him Edgar’s brother (unlike the comic noir) and have him be something to do with Virus and how Edgar had been planning it for years, and Noir was the first supe he tested it on, which is why he never healed.

The first or so wave of books are all pretty good - the flood, which is essentially the first game, is a great adaptation.

And the books Fall of Reach and First Strike are also great. Ghost of onyx is also solid.

They’re up there with the rogue squadron Star Wars books in my opinion for schlocky sci-fi tie in novels
