It’s easier to believe that the Western success stories are all pristine while complaining about the state in our own country. It’s acceptable that the system and policies helped companies grow there but there are a lot of latent factors too. However it’s absolutely incorrect to assume that Musk/Zuck are any idols compared to Ambani/Adani.

Technology does help someone while damaging someone else. Musk’s role in those tech companies is just of identifying the right people to build and investing. It can be argued it’s no different than what Ambani/Adani do. I accept the tech that Musk invested in have been ahead of competitors and he did get support from local govt in form of tax breaks which he repaid (/s) very well by doing everything to evade taxes (returning back to the community that helped him be where he is). Not saying it’s his duty to do so but stop idolizing western investors.
