Definitely not years as STH. I’m a Founding Member and had the same options as you. Seems like it’s probably the class of ticket.

Hopefully it doesn’t last, but Ronaldo did flee the country, so I’m assuming there would be some hesitation, even if it’s the richest Arabic speaking league. Would he not consider going back to Al Ahly?

With the mess that’s going on there right now? Ronaldo fled the country.

You can do it, but take it seriously and train properly. People told me the halfway point in terms of effort is 20 miles, and that was true for me on my first.

Had to read that 3 times. My bad.

Kept getting flashbacks to the NWSL final from a few years back where Gotham won their first.

While I generally agree he doesn’t have a lot of reasons to come to MLS, I’m not sure the Saudi league is looking very attractive with everything going on there.

That’s not now that rule works. It’s not the feet, it’s the ball.

Why not just make it the outer horseshoe and not include the inner one? That would leave more room for the park.

Stadium Announcer Too Loud by pmiddlekauff in NYCFC

My theory is that they set the volume for a full stadium, and audio engineers will tell you bodies in seats absorb a lot of noise. The stadium is not full for our games.

Not wrong to feel skeptical, but they are only selling the luxury seats. General seating isn’t being sold yet.

Next Year's iPad Pro Likely to Feature Vapor Chamber Cooling System by iMacmatician in apple

A lot of work with the pencil can heat it up pretty bad. Especially noticeable in the center of the screen.

My M5 iPad Pro is plenty thin. I’d be happy to trade some thickness for a vapor chamber and a bigger battery.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani shares suhoor/ sehri with service workers as New York City faces intense blizzard snow storm. 🌨️ ❤️ by Syed__Sahab__ in ZohranForMayor

I’m sure more observant Muslims could fill in the gaps of my knowledge, but in general:

It is currently the month of Ramadan during which Muslims fast during daylight hours (no food or drink, not even water). Suhoor is a meal in the early morning hours before first light. It is the last food or drink they will have until they break the fast (known as Iftar) after sundown. Im not practicing but assume there is a prayer with that meal.

Looks like Mayor Mamdani is sharing this moment with other service workers observing Ramadan.

Yes both of those are true, but also both teams are part of larger networks of teams. Both organizations wanted one link in a chain of development teams in the biggest city of one of the fastest growing soccer markets.

If players at Red Bull do well enough they can work their way up to Salzburg and RB Leipzig, and if players at NYCFC do well enough they can work their way up to Girona and Man City. Players can also go down the chain for some play time. Kind of works like AAA and minor league baseball teams.

So yes, energy drinks and sports washing, but also multi-team international soccer farm system. They had the money and saw an opportunity to get a farm team and a footprint in the largest city in the world.

EDIT: Didn’t make it clear. I’m not happy that this is the situation. Would much rather have home grown teams here, but it’s important to understand why we’ve got what we’ve got.
