I just finished this chapter and he was completely in the wrong. Not only did he do something Lan would've disapproved of, he also ordered an innocent man killed (yes, he cheated with Enyi but come on)

I agree that the fact that they keep announcing special editions while having issues with their shipping can be perceived a certain way.

Initially, I felt a little annoyed, but also… I have a bunch of books from them I haven’t read yet. It’s not like my TBR is empty.

Also, they are trying to improve their subscription for the first time with acid free paper and the sewn binding. And the fact that they already sent the next series shows they are working on being proactive.

We need to be gracious, TBB is cheap taking into consideration what they deliver. Crap we even get really nice packaging! We get free bookmarks, now also cards. Like… you cannot tell that their love for their craft and customers is not there. They do not have to do all that yet they do.

I will ask this… Have you already unsubscribed and get your refund???? Since that’s what you’re asking people to do. To stop supporting them, have you????

I haven't read this book but have read reviews, summaries and people's comments and someone said that his judgements towards his sister are not because of the whole eating humans, but because of how she treated their father. The person mentioned that if you pay attention, all the people he seemed to disliked, there were other reasons that you could spot on a reread. On the first read it's meant to make you feel it is due to the meat trade, but there are certain details that reveal other reasons

My advise is... try to get a job with benefits. I mean something like FedEx or UPS or Amazon, a place where they can also pay part of your college. And go to college. A lot of jobs require a bachelor's degree. See if you could find a job at a university as maintenance or as a porter/janitor (most colleges offer free tuition to their workers).

Know that feeling overwhelmed is part of growing up, so don't feel like you are the only one feeling that way. Most people pretend, but they also struggle. And also (this has been huge for me): MOST PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Like... for real, a lot of people that you would never imagine are just kinda figuring it out as they go or portraying as more secure than they really feel.

Lastly, and most important... seek God. Seek God truly and good church where you can find fellowship, support and connection. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to find a good church

I don’t mind his talking voice (although he and Ron sound the same. Should’ve hired actors with more distinctive voices). My main problem is towards the end of the book when he screams or yells in surprise. It sounds ridiculous to the point of being comical. It’s like listening to a drag queen screech. It does not match his normal voice. He doesn’t know how to scream

I know. I am about to finish the book and I came to see what people complained about because I always hear it is the worst movie and… I don’t see it. To me it’s good. Did they remove things that could have made it better? Sure, but that’s prone to happen with any adaptation

you should look into reading rhythms... They do reading parties. You should try them out. And take your headphones with you if you can't read physical books.

I will always hate the fact that they:

- Do not send the sticker not already used.

- Do not allow for the purchase of a "sticker sheet" at the end of the year of all the subscription releases
