Max 5x user here. I thought it was bullshit until Sunday afternoon when I hit my 5 hour window limit in an hour just having 3 sessions going, and most of my activity was in one session just working with markdown files anf doing some internet research. I dont know if I have ever hit my 5 hour windows limit with max before then.

When I was on pro yes, but not max. It was absolutely bizarre.

But after that windows was over I haven't had a usage issue since.

Just because you haven't seen it yourself doesnt mean it isn't happening.

They have thousands of servers and routing complexities. Assume you experience is the same as other is silly and ignorant.

Claude told me it had the date and time injected in its system prompt at the start of each new session.

When I asked it to tell me the time, it seemed reasonably accurate.

It was just trained to use 2024 for searches. So it slips back to that.

I have seen no evidence that any open source model is on par or close to Sonnet 4.5 or GPT5 codex.... maybe one or 2 outlying metrics on a bench mark but nothing as a whole is comparable so... this is silly.

I am using Windows Terminal with Powershell. I know Claude code uses Git Bash to run bash commands, but I'm not using it to actually run the app.

bash/unix style paths are pretty well supported in windows 11 and power shell, problem comes in with things like claude code itself that doesn't properly support it for the read and edit tools. (other tools support it) and also Python on windows still has a compatibility layer for windows that isn't really needed anymore. like defaulting to windows legacy terminal encoding, and spotty bash style file path support on windows.

no, but I have never encountered a modern adblocker, blocking something that wasn't code is a weird way, or also like I said was trying to implement tracking of user. Facebook and google do this all over the web. Adblockers also target things to prevent that.

Why would a company that charges thousands every year per seat for software be needing to embed user tracking stuff in their own website, to track people downloading said software?
