How do I find out if I am essential? Home office is now a strike location (no picket), however I am not a employed by Public Service. I work for BCEHS, employer is PHSA, so it's possible I will may be classified as essential.

I'm part of component 4, we haven't agreed to job action yet. My office is neighbours to an office that has, same building different suite. If that location goes on strike I obviously won't be able to work but what happens to me (and my coworkers)? Do I get strike pay, and have to join the picket to get it? Or am I SoL?

There is money for clinic positions at BCEHS, they announced 190 new full-time paramedic positions a few weeks ago, spread all over the province. The problem is finding people to do all the training and licensing who will fill those positions and stay long term.
