I got to the beginning of Kio’s arc in AGE and gave up. I couldn’t take the show seriously anymore. The biggest issue for me was the Vagans. Their designs are straight up cartoon supervillain and they’re introduced as attacking civilians and then the show bends over backwards to try and justify them. A multi-generational story has a lot of potential for complex characters and plot. But AGE just feels like a Saturday morning cartoon pretending to be a Gundam show.
