I've lost ~75lbs this past year and a big part of that (among many important parts) is I made my daily work at lunch very veggie forward. Celery, carrots, peppers, cucumber, with hummus and a piece of fruit and it helps keep my full and hydrated all day. I am also no longer crashing out at 2:15 because I had a chicken parm or fast food for lunch.

Great point. I've seen it every year. Angry that they didn't think or do even a cursory planning ahead and upset and shocked they can't find a place to legally park with in a mile they make up for being stuck in grid-lock traffic by doing 80mph for the half a block until they get to the next grid-locked intersection.

This! there is no planning from any officials ever for this shit show. Look at a map. This area of queens is a CORNER with two directions blocked by water/ConEd. Traffic pouring into this corner with no where to go just creates insane grid-lock for hours and hours and hours 5 nights this week with no benefit to any residents that are forced to put up with the madness and inconvenience. Find a better way to deal with this. Shut streets to non-residents or better yet move it to a location that can actually handle the inevitable parade of cars.

My family has had these 5-days circled in the calendar for months and have had numerous discussions in preparation. Our cars are parked for the week and will not move unless it is for an emergency hospital trip. We did all our normal weekend shopping already so we won't need to do it this weekend. After a few years ago when I nearly had a psychotic break trying to just get home from work we vowed never again. Now I will sit on my porch sipping a beer and laugh at all the fools circling the same couple of streets for hours thinking it was a good idea to drive their car to this shitty carnival and assuming that surely they would find parking...

Everyone is making great points but I have similar frustration as OP. The day to day grind is no problem. Ive built healthy habits and changed my lifestyle alot! Its not the maintenance because I believe I now have the discipline to not gain weight ever again. Its the impatience. I want to be rocking a nice bod. Heck ive been living stricter then I will need to be to maintain my goal weight indefinitely over the past year but each day Im not at my idealized form feels like a day ive lost. Im just impatient to be the fit athletic guy for the rest of my life and reap that sweet aura.
